Where do I start.... We were hungry and in the area I wanted to go to Big Boy's haven't been there in at least a year. Anyways, we get there they are not busy so we thought it would be a quick dinner and we would be done and out, that was the furthest thing from the truth. Our waitress came to our table and was very rude to us took our drink order and about 15 minutes later came back with two glasses of water and the kids glass of water The other two people in my party ordered milkshakes and she said it would take time to make that. When she returned with the milkshakes we play start order my son ordered the Kraft mac and cheese with onion rings for his side, My husband ordered the pasta dinner which wasn't all you can eat platter pasta with multiple sausage to choose from garlic bread and a side dish which he ordered onion rings And I ordered the Greek salad and all you can eat soup which was a small plate of salad with chickpeas black olives cucumbers tomatoes banana peppers and a few beets slices with feta cheese served with a lemon vinaigrette dressing The salad was very good. The cabbage soup was very good. My trouble started when I asked for crackers they had none then I said would I please be able to get some pita bread since the Greek salad comes with pita bread after 20 minutes of waiting for my pita bread it was served to me burnt that was just the one side as the picture shows The other side was black! Are waitress became almost non-existent with only two other tables to wait on So getting a refill on my soup and my husband getting a refill on his very spotty and cold pasta was almost out of the question. When she finally did return and we asked for a refill of soup and a refill of pasta a big sigh was given and almost a look of disgust.... Remember it was supposed to be all you could eat.... because we were in there for a very long time It was over an hour before we actually got to even tried order an extra plate of pasta or another soup our son was starting to act up. By the time the waitress came back with her food she was irritated with us for some reason place the food down on the table and walked away before we could even say anything. Two minutes later my husband was asking for the bill... Which coincidentally took about 20 minutes to get. I would not recommend this place It was not the cleanest The service was slow and the attitudes were very poor. the best thing about this trip was the Greek salad It was good. If you liked my review please give it a like and decide to go someplace else because you'll be happy that you did.

Good food, inconsistent and questionable Service. ....what a shame. This has been a landmark in the Cleveland area for as long as i can remember, and 1 of only 2 surviving locations in the greater Cleveland area of this once thriving chain of restaurants. This restaurant was showing its age, and the restrooms were deplorable, that is, until a recent remodel. Now it's bright clean and fresh with nice restrooms. The restaurant is on the way home for me from the airport. So when my wife picks me up, we will sometimes stop for a world famous Big Boy burger. On this visit, I landed at Hopkins at 8pm. Neither of us were really starving, but wanted a little something, so we stopped here. We were not greated for a few minutes, and once we were it took 2 waitresses to figure out where to seat us in the mostly empty dining area. When we ordered, we decided to split a Big Boy and fried mushrooms. Our waitresses let out an unaproving sigh, rolled her eyes, and and asked if we wanted to split the mushrooms also. Well of course, and she asked about drinks, my wife ordered ice tea, and I'll just stick with water, to which she gave a condescending yep, with another eye roll, as she turned and walked away with out saying a word, like thanks, or it will be right up...nothing. The food was delivered by another server, and miss sweet and charming never came back to see if we needed anything. Which we did, as the mushrooms didn't cone with a side of Big Boy Sauce to dip them in, but we did without. Btw, the sandwich and mushrooms were great, no complaints on the food. My wife and I often split entrées, and i always tip on the total of the check while adding the price of a second entrée. We split entrées not because we are cheap, but because we are watching our weight, or not terribly hungry. Even for this less than favorable experience, i still tipped $4 on the $11 check. Over 20 percent. The reason I have told of this experience is that the writing is on the wall for this establishment, and I don't want to see this landmark go under. Big Boy management, please take action and train or retrain, or hire management and staff to improve the customer experience at this location. As far as miss sweet and charming, maybe you should consider another profession, such as the BMV, where your assuming and condescending attitude might be more acceptable. #BOBSBIGBOY #FIXBOBSBIGBOY

Michelle was a great server. Exactly perfect for me because I suffer from social anxiety. The food was great and well, kudos to the cooks. But when I got ready to leave around 12, I was greeted with a cashier who definitely killed the vibe. I asked how she was and she didn't say anything back. After I paid, I then said have a great day, and she just nodded and didn't say anything. I actually thought maybe she was deaf, but as I was leaving I heard her speak and acknowledge the couple next in line. As mentioned I suffer from social anxiety so eating out if difficult at times, but I honestly thought I did something wrong. I tipped well, didn't make a mess, and I had a nice conversation with a guy and his wife.

I'll just leave my message to corporate here:

"Hello, I visited this location on 6/3/2019 around 9pm and received a terrible service experience. There was a total of 6-7 tables there and two waitresses. My husband and I were seated with our 1.5 year old and 5 month infant in her carseat. We were not offered a high chair or booster as the host that seated us immediately walked away so we had to retrieve it ourselves. Immediately after we were able to get our son situated in his seat, the waitress arrived asking for our order. I had assumed she meant our drink order so I ordered as such and she said "What, are you not eating?" And I replied we hadn't had the chance to look at the menu yet. So she lets us look it over, came back roughly 10 minutes later and took our order. While waiting, she would periodically walk by and complain to us how busy it was and how short they are. 20 minutes later we received our order. My sons grilled cheese and fries were cold, our food was not nearly as cold but definitely not hot. As she dropped the food off, she loudly complained about how the manager was helping the cook and had no idea what he was doing and the cook is very slow and has been there for 20 years and still cant get orders out. We asked for refills on our drinks and she said ok and left. 15 minutes go by and nothing. We had no drinks, no napkins, and no silverware. Thankfully we had ordered burgers but a knife would've been helpful to cut up my sons food. While eating our meal, the two waitresses then began yelling at each other about tables in front of customers. A customer at a table behind us, which we are assuming was a server there on her day off with her family, began cleaning up the dirty tables there. At that point we just wanted to get our son fed and leave. She eventually came back with a bill and our drinks and asked if we wanted to-go cups which we accepted. Our total came up to 31.80 and my husband and I made the decision to not leave a tip due to how poorly service went which is not something we've ever felt the need to do anywhere before especially there as we've been going there for many years and always had great service. We paid with credit card and my husband wrote a 0 in the tip area at cash out and we left. Received the bank notification of 31.80 while we were leaving and left it at that. The following Saturday we were reviewing our credit card statement for the week as we always do and noticed that the June 3rd charge of 31.80 was changed to 37.80 on the 5th. I still have the receipt and the original June 3rd bank notification screenshot so there's absolutely no way the mistake was on our part. Today I called asking to speak with a manager who did not want to take the call as I heard whoever took the call speaking with him. He (Kenny) came on the line and I explained what went on with the charges and he was extremely condescending to me. He said "Its what, $6? Is it that big of a deal? What, do you want me to give you your 6 bucks?" And I said that $6 isn't that big of a deal to me but if its happening to other people as well its a big deal. And he said nobody else has complained of an issue and there's nothing he could do for me since he didn't see what was input that night." So along with a bad service, my concern was also poorly handled by management and I would really appreciate if this matter is looked into because "just $6" isn't a big deal but credit...
