I recently visited Logan's Roadhouse on a Friday night, excited to have a pleasant dining experience with my family after the lifting of social distancing and Covid restrictions. However, what should have been an enjoyable evening turned into a highly disappointing ordeal due to the shocking behavior of our bartender, who also happened to be our server. Furthermore, the lack of professionalism displayed by the manager only added to our negative experience.
When we arrived at the restaurant, I was taken aback by the strangely deserted atmosphere. Despite it being a Friday night, Logan's Roadhouse resembled a ghost town rather than the bustling establishment I had anticipated. This immediately set an unusual tone for the evening.
Our bartender, who was assigned to our booth, seemed to have an ongoing personal vendetta against Cleveland, TN, and its residents. Throughout our entire visit, she incessantly spoke ill of the city and its people. It was truly baffling to witness such unprofessional behavior, especially considering that she worked there. This constant barrage of derogatory comments about the community created an uncomfortable environment for my family and me.
To compound matters, seated behind our booth were two individuals who, by appearances alone, seemed extremely overweight. I'll refer to them as "Karens" for the purposes of this review. Despite their outward appearance suggesting they consumed an exorbitant amount of junk food, they surprisingly ordered salads. It seemed as though the salads were merely an appetizer before the impending feast of various unhealthy dishes they were about to indulge in. As expected, the "Karens" expressed dissatisfaction with the portion sizes of their salads and proceeded to demand a refund, insisting on speaking with the manager.
Unfortunately, the manager's response was far from satisfactory. Instead of addressing the concerns raised by the disgruntled "Karens," the manager opted to cower in fear and avoid any confrontation. To everyone's surprise, the bartender took it upon herself to inform the "Karens" that their entire meal would be comped, attempting to placate them. However, rather than taking responsibility for the issues raised, the bartender deflected blame onto the cooks for the insufficient amount of dressing on the salads. This blame-shifting is entirely unwarranted, as it is generally the server's duty to ensure that the appropriate amount of dressing is provided. Moreover, when the "Karens" expressed disappointment with the size and appearance of the salads, claiming they did not resemble the pictures on the menu, the bartender went so far as to attribute the subpar food quality to notvonly the cooks there, but all the cook in and from Cleveland. She brazenly stated that all restaurants in Cleveland have terrible cooks, unequivocally implying that Logan's Roadhouse should have been avoided altogether.
Despite the unsatisfactory service, I must admit that the food itself was relatively decent. However, any enjoyment derived from the meal was overshadowed by the bartender's lack of attention to our table. Instead of providing the attentive service one would expect, she appeared far more invested in trash-talking the restaurant, the city, and its inhabitants, all in the pursuit of a better tip. Our drink refills were completely neglected, and our table was left unattended for extended periods, leaving us feeling ignored and disregarded.
While I can appreciate the quality of the food, I find it incredibly difficult to overlook the disrespectful and demeaning behavior exhibited by our bartender. It was disheartening to witness her continuously insult everyone and belittle the entire town of Cleveland. Until such time as this bartender either resigns, offers a sincere apology to her coworkers and the people of Cleveland, or demonstrates significant improvement in her conduct, I will personally abst
ain from dining at Logan's Roadhouse. Such behavior goes...
Read moreThere were 10 of us. 5:30 PM on June 2, Sunday. Cleveland, TN. When my mother in law told them how many the lady said I will have to find someone that can do or wants to do that. That's their job and that shouldn't have been said. It wasn't busy. I'm a waitress myself and I know that my customers come first and I want to make their experience the best possible. We had to ask for refills and rolls, straws and napkins. When we got our food, those that had salads got them and right after got the meal so it had to sit there. The one person started eating his steak and immediately noticed it was raw inside. Waitress, (which I didn't get her name, I can only tell you where we sat and I'm sure you could find out) she didn't apologize only asked if it needed to be cooked longer. By then my son had finished his salad and started cutting his steak, that he paid $22 for, and it too was raw and it had sat there and normally they will continue to cook a little, waitress was again notified, she again didn't apologize only asked if it needed to be cooked longer then took it. Brought it back and it was chewy and still red. My husband and I arrived a little late so when he got his meal, he got the chopped sirloin that was smothered, waitress asked if it was ok when she took back my son's, and it was till he took 2 bites then it was completely raw. Now we like our steaks a little pink, but this was not the case. All 3 items that were taken back were put back on grill and cooked longer and brought back to us. Not one time with an apology or mention of a manager or even a discount. Waitress was in no means in a hurry, I understand if they were busy she may not be as attentive as we would like but again not the case. My son asked for a refill towards the end of the meal and she asked if he wanted one to go and he said no he just needed a little bit. She continued to take up our checks, cash them out, bring our change and still no refill. At that time he had enough and got up and told her to forget it, she brought his wife a to go one. He don't take drinks or food in his vehicles. He was unable to eat his steak, he ate his potato because they left it while cooking the steak again. He, my husband and I all wanted prime rib, however at the beginning we were told you were out. I know it says till you run out, but this was still Sunday and 5:30-6 when we ordered. That's the only kind of steak I eat. I ended up getting the ribs, I will say they were good along with my 2 sides. My husband had asked for extra butter and sour cream yet didn't get it. 10 people with 2 of them being small kids and 3 people had bad food. We all had bad service. We left very upset. Needless to say the waitress only received I think $6 in tips from everyone. She didn't deserve any more. We don't go out to eat at steakhouses very often as it is expensive and then when we do and have service and the quality of food to be this bad it makes us not want to come back but go to other places. I kept looking for a manager and never saw one. I tried calling when we left and the lady told me she would see if anyone was in the office and she'd transfer me and it only rang. I finally called back about 8:45, and spoke with a man that didn't even say his name and he didn't sound very apologetic either. Just casually I'm sorry, could I do anything to help make it up to you on your next visit? I told him that when we all left ws were unhappy, we paid for everything but said we wouldn't be back, he isn't seem to care. Yes he said the words but there was no meaning behind them. I've been in management, as well as a waitress and that is the utmost priority is food quality and making our customers happy so they will keep coming back and no one made that happen. Very...

We went to Loganâs Roadhouse this afternoon, and let me tell you, if this was a cooking competition, Gordon Ramsay wouldâve just walked out and never looked back.
First off, my husbandâs steak came out a beautiful shade of⌠gray. Not seared, not grilled, not even âaccidentally overcooked.â Just gray. I didnât know we ordered the âHospital Cafeteria Special.â Mine? Oh, mine was worse. It had these perfect little grill marks that looked like someone painted them on with a ruler and an edible Sharpie. Not even a gallon of steak sauce could rescue it, and trust me, I tried.
The only edible thing in the entire meal was the salad. And even then, it was lettuce and dressing, congratulations, Loganâs, you nailed the art of opening a bag and dumping it on a plate.
Our server? She mustâve been training for a NASCAR pit crew position because sheâd zoom by the table, drop something, and leave without a word. Didnât ask how the food was. Didnât ask if we needed anything. She was way more invested in a conversation happening near the kitchen than the people actually paying to be there.
Speaking of the kitchen, you know how you usually smell something amazing when you walk into a restaurant? Yeah⌠nothing. Not a whiff of steak. Not a wisp of steam. Nothing. It was eerily silent back there, like a scene from a horror movie.
And the broccoli? Oh, the broccoli. Straight from the âmicrowave for 45 seconds and prayâ cookbook. Lukewarm, rubbery, and somehow raw-tasting all at the same time. Impressive in the worst way possible.
If you want good steak, go literally anywhere else. Heck, buy a George Foreman grill and a pack of hot dogs, youâll get a better meal and save yourself the money...
