If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, but the service is horrible. We ordered breakfast, had chips and salsa and had coffee while we waited. The coffee had coffee grounds in it. Food was taking a while, we finished our coffee, chips and had to flag down a waitress who was serving food to a nearby table. She said okay, but ten minutes later no one came. So we had to flag our waitress down again. She brought use more chips, salsa and refill coffee w/coffee grounds in it again, but forgot to bring us more creamer. She apologized for the food taking to long and said they were waiting on the fajita meat to be cooked. Food finally came out our order was wrong. I ordered huevos rancheros which was suppose to be fried eggs on top of huaraches, but it was just regular corn tortillas. My husband had ordered the chilaquiles verdes and substituted the pollo with fajita meat and asked for three fried eyes. He only received one egg. We told the waitress and she said she would put the order back in. We finished our meal and the eggs never came out. We asked for our receipt and asked our waitress if she ever told cook about our eggs. She said yes and it should be ready, but we told her to cancel it. The entire experience there just ruined our meal and visit there. I will not come back here nor recommend anyone to...
Read moreThis place buys shots for people that leave a positive review and insists on seeing the review before they give you the shot. It began to rain when we were sitting outside. The waited moved a table of nine girls to a covered table on the patio. After the move the waiter stood tableside while insisting they write a positive review. All the while me and my party were sitting at a table in the rain. We finally cleared a dirty table ourselves so we could be under cover. The waiter then came to our table and requested we leave a positive review and he would buy our table a shot. I advised I would leave a review on my own time and did not need him to buy a positive review. At the same time we have been waiting 45 minutes for our meal. I requested the manager and was told he was busy and did not have time to speak to me. We waited an additional 12 minutes and made the decision to leave. We requested our bill for our drinks and then our food arrived. We declined the food, paid our bill for the drinks and left. We received no apology for the delay in our food or being left in the rain while the waiter waited for another table to write a positive review. This was my first time at this restaurant and for...
Read moreI really like this restaurant. I knew the Reyes family from the El Paso restaurant where they were part owners (since closed down - they obviously needed the Reyes family!). You'll find this is indeed a family restaurant as it's run by Mama & Papa Reyes with help from all the boys, except the youngest when they're in school. Their Daughter is serving our country in the Armed Forces.
You'll find Tex-Mex alongside authentic Mexican food on the menu. Chips and salsa are available. There's bean dip & red salsa (not spicy). The kids ❤️ the bean dip. I ❤️ the enchiladas topped with queso blanco, instead of chile con carne or red sauce. The sopapillas are served in what has come to be "TX fashion"; which is cinnamon/sugar and dessert. Unlike NM, where they're served with the meal plain (with 🍯 of course 😆) for no extra charge, these are a separate order.
If you get a chance, stop in for their breakfast There aren't many Tex-Mex restaurants serving breakfast around here. A taquito from Whataburger, although good, just isn't the same. 🤣
And when you do stop in ask for Junior, the oldest Reyes sibling, and tell him...
