The Old Brooklyn Social Club — Restaurant in Cleveland

I don't expect this place to be around for very long. Not very busy on a Friday night. I planned on sitting here for a bit and writing some thank you cards. Since I went back to my car to get the cards, they perceived me to be a drunk and refused to serve me. When a business's guard is up so high that they refuse customers walking in the door, they run a different risk than losing a license. What causes the guard to be so high that they turn down business? I can only surmise that they have a lot of drunken people who come here. Walked in with my wife to have a drink to support this bar with friends because we just moved to the area and it’s right accross the street from us. The heavier-set white lady, said I called last call after asking the gentleman in front of me if he wanted something before last call. So, we left. While in the parking lot, two white gentlemen walked up. We said they just called last call. They said, "Damn," and walked in to see if they would serve them. And they got served. Typical shot n beer bar , called a social club so they can pick their crowd (meaning keep certain people out) nothing special here , no food , no real snacks to talk about and bartenders who can't get a job anywhere else. While the owner puts down all the other bars in the poor , broke & depressed neighborhood they are in. If your new to the area and wondering where to go , dont go here.
