I honestly love coming here all the time and have no issues with any of the staff, for the most part they are all sweethearts! Especially Jasmine( I think that’s her name), Chris and the super cool guy with the overalls (sorry I forgot his name). The service and drinks are usually good, and the food is pretty good and I love how the kitchen is open late. What I don’t love however, is when I’m charged for drinks I never had. And for some reason, the blonde bartender with glasses seems to have an issue with me every time I’m there. The first time I ever came to the clif on 4th of July, she gave me and my friend a nasty attitude and was reluctant to give us service but had no problems servicing the men at the other end of the bar. But no big deal, I’m a bartender too and I know as a woman you want to get as much tips as possible. But that doesn’t mean neglecting your other customers. Anyway, like I said I come here often and never have a problem, it’s always good vibes and I spend a lot because it’s worth it. But then last night I came, I asked for a lemon drop MARTINI with a sugar rim, she said she couldn’t do the rim because she was the only one working. Okay that’s perfectly fine I understand being alone behind the bar I’ve done it many times it can be stressful. But my understanding and my friends understanding was that I was still getting a martini just no sugar rim. I also didn’t appreciate getting laughed at in my face which was kind of rude. I got a lemon drop shot I guess, anyway I drank it because I didn’t feel like arguing so whatever. I got sick and had to go and my friends closed out our tab. I got charged for an extra shot that I never took. I don’t know if she has something against me or something but I just wanted to share my experience. I will continue to come here because overall it’s an amazing bar and me and all my friends love it, just something I feel needs to said because it’s not the first time...
Read moreCame here with some friends early into the night for some drinks. Upon entering, I noticed our future waitress look at our group with an unfriendly glance. We let it be known that we just wanted some drinks when we sat at an open table. As it got into the night it inevitably got more crowded, but we continued ordering drinks. Our waitress(blonde, maybe dark blonde hair with tattoos) kept coming to us and trying to take our drinks without us even giving the OK to take them. Eventually we got a new server who let us know they were at capacity and that we were taking up space. I understand that they had customers who also wanted to sit and eat, but at that point the crowd had significantly died down and we were being rushed out. I even noticed that other patrons who were there before us and ordering (only) drinks weren't being watched as closely as we were. Overall it was a nice little place, but I felt unwelcomed as a group as soon as we walked in and the waitress who first tend to us let it be known that we were pretty much unwelcomed. Parking is small, but if you do get in before the crowd and carpool it shouldn't be a problem. Haven't tried the food, but it...
Read moreThis place has been renovated since my first time here. The improvements really open up the space, service is fast, and food is served hot. Come here for a drink and bite.
As for the jukebox, it was just my luck that I happened to slip a few dollars in it none the wiser that there was someone out there hellbent on playing their own playlist by any means necessary. I was there for three hours and still hadn't heard one of my tracks. It wasn't until I left that I heard one of my songs, and even then it was a song I paid extra for to "skip".
Another thing, read your checks carefully because one of our drinks was doubled from 3 orders to 6. The waiter was amiable and made the adjustment quickly.
This place reminds me of Sharkeys but with a slimmed down menu and similar vibe. The only thing I'd say is different here is the overall feeling that I'm welcomed. Unlike Sharks, the waitresses here are kind and helpful and devoid of a jaded composure that comes with the ravages of...
