Dear Agave Team, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience my colleagues and I had at your establishment this past Tuesday. During our visit, we shared a tomahawk steak, which was presented as a chef's special. However, after consuming the steak, we noticed an unpleasant odor, suggesting that the meat was not in proper condition. Unfortunately, several of us experienced physical discomfort as a result. Personally, I have spent the entire morning unwell, experiencing vomiting and frequent bathroom visits. It is extremely upsetting to have paid for a meal of poor quality, and I believe we deserved a proper resolution, including a credit or some acknowledgment of the issue, which we did not receive. This was particularly disheartening as we were celebrating a colleague’s birthday, making the experience even more disappointing. What concerns us even more is the lack of professionalism in the staff’s response. When we brought this issue to their attention, the chef did not come to apologize or provide an explanation. Instead, the waiter merely relayed that the odor was due to the marinade, which is unacceptable given the circumstances. As business owners ourselves, we chose not to leave a negative review, as we understand the challenges of running a business and that mistakes can happen. However, the way this situation was handled, along with being charged for a meal of poor quality, has left us deeply dissatisfied. I sent a private message through IG and an email with no response, unfortunately this might be the only way to grab your attention. I hope you take this feedback seriously and implement the necessary measures to ensure that similar situations do not happen to other customers. I look forward to your...

I recently dined here, like tonight and I wanted to share my experience. While there were some aspects that fell short, the standout item was definitely the birria tacos. Guacamole was good too!

The fajitas, unfortunately, lacked flavor and left much to be desired. The dish seemed to be overloaded with vegetables and sauce, lacking the desired taste. This comes from a person who eats low in salt. When I have to add salt to a dish it clearly wasn’t seasoned properly. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate the fajitas a 3.

On the other hand, the birria tacos were exceptional. They were packed with flavor and truly delicious. I highly recommend trying them. The portion size was generous, with four tacos priced at around $18 (approximately, as I don't have the receipt on me right now, because I didn’t pay, lol). The portion for the fajitas wasn’t generous. I had only removed 4 small pieces of steak and 2 small pieces of chicken at the time of the picture.

The appetizer I wanted was 86d apparently.

The drinks served at the restaurant were tasty, and served with flowers and gold straws. The service overall was very good. However, I did have to ask for water, which I believe should be offered to every table as a basic courtesy. It's a small detail that I hope the restaurant can improve upon, especially considering they are new.

In conclusion, while the fajitas were disappointing, the birria tacos were a standout and worth trying. The drinks were enjoyable, and the service was generally good, with room for improvement in offering water to all guests. I wish the restaurant the best of luck as they continue to grow and refine...

I have mixed feelings... On the one hand, it's a beautiful and atmospheric place. Modern, stylish with friendly service. On the other hand, there are many disadvantages that affect the comfort of staying in this place 🤔

❌ It is so dark that it was difficult to read the menu. One mini touch lamp per table... ❌ The menu is very creative and consistent with the style of the place. The menus (one for food, one for drinks) are attached to a long wooden board. Unfortunately, when there were more people (4) at the table, the menus fell down, made noise and it was difficult to keep everything on the table (water glasses, drinks, plates with cutlery, the mentioned touch lamp). ❌ No napkins on the tables. Poor quality of cutlery and gold plates. The plates spin while eating like discs in a DJ console 😂 ❌ The music from the DJ was great, but it was so loud that my friends and I had to shout! Also with the waiters... There was no comfort and conversations with friends. I felt very dizzy when I left the restaurant. I didn't drink alcohol 😅 ❌ As most people mentioned in the reviews, a tip of 20% is automatically added to the bill. Weird.

🟢 Good prices. 🟢 Great style of the place. 🟢 Great music. 🟢 Great service. 🟢 Delicious and nice-looking food and drinks. 🟢 Small selection of mocktails, but it's a plus that two items are on the menu. „La Frida” stole my heart! 🟢 Great attention to detail in food and drinks. Using decorations and real flowers. 🟢 Various seating areas + tables outside. 🟢 Location, because it's close to me 😁

I will definitely visit Agave Cantina Mexicana again and verify my...

Agave Cantina Mexicana was fun. I met a friend for happy hour and the bar was free to sit at for a Friday afternoon. There were three people behind the bar, some friendly and the drinks were delish and the presentation of them was awesome. For three people behind the bar, I felt the service could have been better. The bartenders were not attentive and it took more than 15 minutes to ask for another drink, with three other guests to attend at the bar and again three bartenders. When we asked they just made it without apologizing and we were charged for an additional drink as the bartender must have put the order in, forgot and then we asked for another drink and that was charged as well. They either did not speak English well and assumed I spoke Spanish when they asked for my order. My friend spoke Spanish so this helped! They also removed my drink before the drink was done and I was not pleased with how they charge 20% gratuity on the bill plus tax and another credit card fee, on a bill for two people. I thought 20% is tacked on for a party larger than 6? I don't mind paying the credit card convenience fee because that is the norm nowadays, but to charge 20% on a bill for two people, without having the customer consent was a turn off for me when the service was not great and we were charged for an extra drink after it took them a long time to make another round. The ambiance is beautiful, it is a great date night and parking is limited to less than 10 spots.
