Freddy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Clinton Township

I can only taste what i experienced. Last night i ordered some take out from Freddie's. It looks like a nice size bar and eatery, when it's allowed to be open. The Covid-19 has diminished it's dining to our of doors. Although, it looks like that would be nice in the summer, it looked a bit chilly for December. Nonetheless, it looked well organized, well like, and heated with outdoor gas fireplace strip going down the middle, lengthwise. The patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. I ordered fish and chips, chicken quesadillas, and fries. I thought the fish was done very well, and tasty. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. Although the quesadillas were presented well, and smelled delicious, i think there was just something lacking in the seasoning. My mother liked them, but it didn't suit my taste. That's not to say they weren't good. They just didn't hit my palate. But everything was hot, crispy where it was supposed to be, and nicely boxes, for takeout. The bartender, and waiter that assisted us were very friendly, and kind. When in the area, i would not mind visiting Freddie's again for some food, and maybe even a cocktail, of which the bar appeared to be...

I am very disappointed with Freddy's Bar tonight. My husband and I are regulars who come virtually every week to play trivia and have a "date night" and some dinner. I called this afternoon and reserved a table for five for trivia tonight. The woman recognized my voice, knew me by name and told me I was all set and she would have a table for me tonight. We got there and the place was completely packed. Not one single table was open. I noticed two people sitting at a table labeled with a reservation in my name. We asked the waitress if that was meant to be our table, but she wasn't much help. We were told we could sit at the bar, but that was not why we called and reserved a table this afternoon. I have never had any problems with Freddy's Bar before but tonight, I was really upset. We had a babysitter come out to our house to watch our two year old daughter for no reason. I am pregnant and having a baby in less than two weeks. This may have been our last chance for a night out for a while. This makes me not want to come back again and find another bar where we can...

I just have to take a moment to share what great staff and mindset the people at Freddy’s has. Last night we attended the annual event Rock4Tots (no child without a Christmas) the energy was great despite restrictions due to covid. My two girls were in attendance and they went over and above to make sure they were comfortable with the cold. Jay Joe G asked them if they would like some hot chocolate to drink they said yes. He went to get them some to realize they had run out. He ended up going to the store to get them some instead of coming back to explain they were out. We didn’t know what was going on until he had already accomplished his mission. The fact that he took that much care and concern when he was busy and had an amazing event going on at the facility just astounded me.
