Nothing to say but positive in regards to every single visit, until today. The staff is always kind/pleasant and the products are stellar. I'm not going to go into too much detail but I had a glass/aluminum commercial entry door fall on me. They typically weigh upwards of 200 pounds. Standing in line waiting for my number to be called I'm looking around and notice that one of the entry doors will not close on it's own. I looked outside and the lower hinge bushing is nearly gone which is how the aforementioned door fell on me years ago. There is a woman at the east register whom I approach and ask if she's a manager (dressed differently and not helping customers). Now mind you, I'm having a great day and in a tremendously good mood. There was NO mistaking the facial contortion, tone and attitude from this woman. She snaps, "What do you need" in a very aggressive/mean delivery. I'm still smiling and say, "I'm only trying to help. I'm not sure if you're aware that one of the entry doors is near to falling off it's hinges." "Yes we're aware of it. Someone's going to fix it." You'd have to be there to garner the full-effect of the seething anger that was displayed. I simply walked away and continued to wait for my number to be called. No more than a couple minutes later another customer approached her, apparently thinking she was free and she quite loudly says, "You need to get a number and go stand in line!" The gentleman explains that he already had a number and mistakenly thought she was available. He walks over near me and says, "wow" to which I reply, "She's not the most pleasant individual is she?" Now, you can read through when I've take the time to review anyone/anything and 90% of the time it's glowing positive. Two takeaways from today's experience; If someone tells you that your door that weighs enough to injure and possibly kill someone is close to failure/falling, perhaps you should disable this door (simply locking it would disallow the door from falling). Second, if you have a disposition which comes across as glaringly angry/hateful, perhaps dealing with people, any people, is not in your "wheelhouse." Very disappointing experience but it didn't impact my great day in any...
Read moreThey have the worst customer service and do not value their long time Italian customer. Extremely rude girls working the counter. They act like they don’t even want to be there. Very lazy. I asked if they can do strawberry designs on the top of a cake and she said yes. I asked to see examples of them and she said she would have to look through so many pages & it would take her forever. She didn’t want to help me. She told me to look up a picture of my phone. My phone was not working plus I wanted to see the bakery’s work not a random picture online. She was extremely unhelpful and had no customer service experience. I can understand that this is clearly her first job and she’s learning but that doesn’t mean you get to disrespect a customer. I asked to speak to the manger and another girl walked out that was clearly not the manger. She was extremely rude. I doubt the OWNER of Vito’s would appreciate them treating and talking to their long time customers like that! They would have been appalled on how she was speaking to me. Laughing under her breath saying that she doesn’t do certain things when I’ve been going there for years and have had it done before. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I’ve been getting cakes there for so many years and my Nonna & Nonno, parents, siblings, aunts & uncles, cousins- Extended family all get our special occasion cakes at Vito’s. It’s extremely hurtful to be treated so poorly at a place I’ve been going to my whole life. Nothing good last forever I guess. My family will never be...
