Dempsey's Pizza — Restaurant in Clinton

My family and I stumbled upon Dempsey, a locally owned restaurant, in Clinton South Carolina. Dempsey is a take out or sit down restaurant that offers an all you can eat pizza bar, salad bar,and they also have a menu that you can order sandwiches and pizzas off of. I was surprised to see all the different pizzas they had to offer because some I have never seen before, like taco pizza and the loaded vegetable pizza. However though, for me the crust was very thin and flaky (kind of like a pie crust), but I still enjoyed every bite I had. My daughter enjoyed the baked pasta they also had in the pizza bar. In addition, I loved the salad bar; it was very cleaned and stocked often. My family and I liked how the salad bar had shredded lettuce instead of regular because it made it easier to eat and enjoy. Furthermore, Dempsey dessert pizza were pretty decent, but their cinnamon puffed pastry was to die for. I would definitely recommend you to try it. On top of the yummy food, our waiter was amazing and the staff werw kind and friendly. They worked very hard to ensure their were no holes on the salad bar and pizza bar. Even though Dempsey is a smaller restaurant, I would recommend getting their early, because you might be waiting in a line during dinner time. Furthermore, Dempsey offer punch cards and after 10 punches you get a free meal, which I think is very nice. Also if it is your birthday Dempsey will make you a personalized pizza that has your age on it, I thought that was really cool and I never seen this done at any other pizza buffet. In addition, if you are 55 and up Dempsey has a senior day every Tuesday. Lastly, I would definitely recommend you checking out Dempsey with your family or friends, because you will have a great time. Next time when I am in the Clinton area I will definitely stop by...

I l love dempseys. I always have. Their staff are nice and polite. Best pizzas in clinton. I wouldnt even mind waiting in the long line curving around the side of the bldg, but once i got inside it was a nightmare. This was my 2nd time there since they reopened. I went inside both times fixed myself a salad and took it home . The place was packed, but thats not the issue. Some of the customers were so rude and acted like they hadnt eaten all day. I fixed my salad and got the heck out. I was actually ashamed to know that some of these people live in clinton. I almost got knocked down if i hadnt moved to the left as far as i could. A very obese lady was determined she wasnt going give me just a little room to get by. Then 2 more was right behind her. They were not moving ovèr either. You need a red light to get to salad bar. people just walking in front of you. no excuse me or nothing . Just a bunch of greedy rude people. Im glad i was not raised that way. In this situation its not the food or staff that might keep me away, but rude people who will knock you down for a bite of food. Everyone looked well fed to me. Bunch of porkers who almost ran me over looked like they were unaware of people being in front of them. I hope they got full. It wouldnt have been so wild if people would Be considerate of others. You dont have to bump people and cut in front of them. The atmosphere wasnt good to me. What was wrong with some of these people?...

Pleasantly surprised with this place, salad bar was superbly fresh, there were several pizzas to choose from, and they never seemed to run out like other places. Variety was really good although the pizza itself wasn't even in the top 20 of places I've been. There was also plenty of staff to serve us and keep up with the other stuff in the restaurant.

There really is no better pizza buffet from Greenville to Columbia like this one, it's clearly the best.

With that though there are a few things I have against it outside the rather mediocre pizza taste and flavor. That would be the price, my goodness we paid $35 for two buffets and drinks including $5 tip. In the future we will get water, but it's still gonna be $25 aka $30 after tip. That's just two high for two people and no food to go.

We went to Blue Ocean Friday before and spent $25 and had two containers of food to take home. With those prices we just can't justify going to Dempsey's but once every two months. 9.99 would be a much better price for the buffet.

I just wish I was a senior lol, I eat about the same amount as the old people I saw there, but they only pay half price $7 on Tuesdays!!!

The place was so packed though, they won't need to lower prices, apparently there is a lot of Money in Clinton where people can pay $30-$50 per meal for 2-3 people, as for me I'll stick to Pizza hut and Domino's 7.99 deals most of the time, We can eat more than one meal with two...
