Update at bottom 6/4/21. We decided to try this place today and I got the Chicago dog and my fiance got the Polish dog with fries and a Mountain dew. The first red flag was NONE OF THE EMPLOYEE'S were wearing face masks and that little building was packed full of employees..but I hadn't eaten in a day and had just gotten out of surgery needless to say I was hungry. The lady taking the orders who also handled food had her hands outside the window resting on the dirty side of the building to top it off.
Anyways due to the high price ( over $5 for a dog and fries ) I decided just to get the dog but turns out it's only $0.50 cheaper without fries. No idea where their math came from there because to get an order of just fries it's nearly $2... ? Well might as well pay the $0.50 for the fries. So we get our food and the SMELL was horrible instantly. The fries seemed to be cooked in old oil or somthing and tasted disgusting. We did try a fry for the benefit of the doubt but the rest were wasted. Now let's move onto the rest of the food. .the Chicago dog looked good and wasn't too terrible. The hot dogs are cheaper Even though they charge a high price.
My fiance's Polish dog came with sour kraut and mustard. I absolutely love sour kraut and so does he so we were pretty excited for that dog. Instantly he was gagging from it. The kraut was ABSOLUTELY FOUL!!!! I tried it and spit it out. I have no idea if this shop tried to make it themselves or what but it was so bad I can't even describe it properly. Rotten almost . So we picked off all the kraut so he can eat the dog. It's been about 40 mins since we've eaten the food here and we ARE BOTH SICK. I'm trying hard not to throw up my food but it's a losing battle here as I sit in the bathroom.
We never should have eaten the food after what we noticed right away and giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt was not a good idea on our end . Because of the good reviews we wanted to give it a try. We saw the red flags and proceeded to eat the food anyway. This was a mistake.
Reply to the owner/update : I was blocked months from replying to the owner but I can now on 6/4/21. You straight lied on how many people you said we're there working which is so far beyond sad. None had masks on and the workers were so cramped in there they were bumping into each other.
Also BOTH of us got sick from your food, not just me. Do not target just me here. Also you had no idea what surgery I got. There are few surgeries that require "mild food" to be eaten after. But I liked how you threw that out there. My doctor told me to go eat immediately anything I want. We thought you're place would be the easiest to get to. You're response was absolutely rediculous. And it really shows what kind of company you run. You're food was terrible, it made us both sick. I am not the only one who has stated this or said how bad your food was in reviews.
Saying my review will destroy your business. NO the way you acted, the food you serves, and the way you run your business is what would put you out of business.
Also the fact you racked up so many high reviews from people that only have like 2 reviews posted... C'mon now really? Lol whose believing that? Especially considering all the bad...
Read moreSince I can't cook a lot anymore my husband and I decided to order from Holly's Dogs for the first time today 10-12-21. My husband got the chicken ranch wrap and he said it was AWESOME! Plus he got an order of fries and they were so good also he said. I got the street taco's and I have never had a street taco and I was so amazed as the pork was so nice and tender and the soft shell taco was so warm and soft and the meat was all the way to the top of the taco shell. Not filled half way up it was filled all the way to the top! It had onions and cilantro and sauce on top of it and oh my gosh it was all so good! You get 3 and they do fill you up because they are stuffed full of meat. They are definitely not cheap on the toppings like some places are when they make taco's and Thank God I ordered 4 as I just knew my husband would want one, and he loved it!
I was worried about our meal not being hot by they time my husband got home as he drives so slow but nope it was made fresh and the dinner was hot and the fries were still crispy. Those fries are so good! Usually I have places poke holes on top the container to let the steam out so the fries don't get soft and soggy but not these fries.
We will definitely be back to eat at Holly's Dogs. I can see us eating there 2-3 times a week since I am unable to cook like I use to. I literally can't wait till we order again. Bye Bye Burger King, Bye Bye McDonald's and hello Holly's Dogs.
Thanks Holly for bringing such a great place to eat in...
Read moreHolly and her staff are extremely pleasant and happy to see me even if it is the 3rd time within 24 hours!!! The food is always fresh and hot, made to order, fast, and extremely yummy. The presentation is always beautiful and everything you need to consume your meal "on the go" is available from the fork to the salad dressing (on request). Her business is clean and well organized and she will accommodate special requests (just ask). I support local and recommend to support local especially when the local offers such a great experience in food and friendly service. Holly may sell a variety of awesome delicacy (not just hot dogs), but she, also, provides a friendly face that you will love to see on the regular. And, her staff isn't half bad, either. The guy that adds "bam" after every sentence is, not only, helpful but, pure entertainment. Dinner and a show if you go to Holly's is often offered for no extra charge. Check out Holly's. The food is fantastic. The people who run this joint are your new best friends. And, support local and your tummy. And, one more addition, Holly's prices are extremely fair. Good luck finding everything she offers at a store, close to to her price, utilize the gas, time, and effort to cook it yourself and pray it comes out as good as Holly's. Not going to happen. Bucket List #1....
