Jenny's Diner — Restaurant in Clinton

Very popular place. Got quite busy during our visit, most tables were filled.

We found our waitress to be very friendly very quick, very efficient; she was great. (Cassie)

Menu was large, prices were good, we were looking forward to our meal. Food came out quickly.

Unfortunately, I did not realize that my top sirloin would come out covered in cracked pepper as I have a pepper allergy. I have been told it's common for restaurants to garnish steak with cracked pepper but I never experienced it myself so I didn't think to ask not to have that. I tried to wipe it off.

What I couldn't fix was that approximately half the steak was completely inedible. It was cooked the way I had asked, and it looked beautiful, but when you tried to cut it there was a gigantic vein of gristle running through and it was simply impossible to cut, and hazardous to try to swallow. An incredible shame because I hate wasting food but it was not edible

My dining companions chopped sirloin, he said was served with too much pepper as well. The specials of the week all looked great, and the cream of chicken soup that came with the meal...

Normally love coming to Jenny’s, but today we should have went somewhere else! Waitress was very rushed, had to be corrected several times while we were trying to order like she wasn’t really paying attention, then brought a water when a Pepsi was ordered(corrected right away). When we finally got our food, everything seemed like it had been sitting waiting, it was not cold, but it certainly wasn’t hot! The toast did not have the butter melted and was stiff as a board. When I went to cut into my country fried steak, my wife noticed a sticker or something stuck to my knife! The waitress never checked on how we were doing after bringing us our food, only asked if we needed anything else when she brought the check. When I went up to pay, the cashier asked how everything was(didn’t really care, was just going through the motions) when I replied with”Was not very satisfied with it, she never asked why or what was wrong, not very good customer relations. I was looking for a family style restaurant in Clinton while shopping for a new outfit for my six year old son. I googled it and Jenny's Diner was one of about 8 to come up. I'm so glad we picked this one, we were welcome as soon as we stepped in by Tabitha who also was our waitress. Tabitha was excellent from beginning to end, with a sense of humor to boot. Throughout our dinner another waitress Kelly visited with us while cleaning other tables along with co-owner Jasmine doing the same. We were in Jenny's last Wednesday evening around 7:00 and planning on enjoying many more meals there! I had there Salisbury steak and my 6 year old son had there homemade chicken strip dinner, side note, there homemade dipping sauce for the chicken was delicious.
