McDonald's — Restaurant in Clinton

I live pretty close to this location so I used to go there whenever we wanted fast food for dinner. I refuse to go back there after having so many terrible experiences. They almost never get my order right, one time I only ordered a single McDouble and they still got it wrong, and every single time I purchased Happy Meals for my children they miss something or add stuff I specifically said I did not want. Several times I was waiting for my food in the lobby and the manager (a really big guy with a thin mustache) was openly admitting that he didn't know what he was doing and blaming the other worker for his own shortcomings. I am not one to rely on gossip, but the last time I went to this McDonald's it was packed and I decided to go to the N. 2nd Street location. When I was waiting for my food I was talking to a couple with their child and they told me that they had just been to this location (Lincoln Way) and when they received the Happy Meal they discovered that it contained cockroaches. So they threw it away, complained, and went to N. 2nd.

Despite all of this, most of the regular workers are very nice people, friendly and approachable.

• had to edit* ate inside for the first time in years and boy has it gone downhill. Everything was dirty, guy on register didn't seem capable of simple tasks, out of drink lids, out of ketchup, out of soap in the men's bathroom (had to identify as a female for a minute just to wash my hands) fries all over the floor, tables dirty, every surface was sticky and greasy, the place was empty during supper hour, price was through the roof even though he forgot to ring up my drink. Could have eaten at Culver's for the same price or less. Burgers were good but fries were WAY over salted. I understand that they are probably understaffed but good lord... makes me want to work there so I can do nothing for 15...

Didn't take the drive up customer in order of arrival to the intercom's, food order was wrong, missing 1 order of fries, no napkins ( ordered barbecue tenders) No straws. Had to pull forward and wait 9 minutes for a wrong order. This was mid- afternoon. Only 1 other drive up customer when I arrived. Serviced 3 in the inside lane before acknowledging myself and my wife in a large bright blue car, directly in front of the speaker. Total of 4 drive up customers. No customers inside, (all glass front and sides) And 2 of the drive up customers had to pull forward and park, to wait for food. Myself being the second. I would hate to go to the Clinton, Iowa McDonalds at noon or the dinner hour. ...
