We were there for three nights and had undisturbed sleep one night. Someone was hammering Thursday night until 12:30am then Sunday morning at 5:00 in the morning. After a long days drive the first night, hammering went on until 12:30. We had to get up at 6 so had very little sleep. We complained to the management and asked for another room. Nothing was ever done but Saturday night there was no hammering so we thought you took care of the problem, then Sunday morning they started again at 5:00 in the morning. We went down to the office and complained. The attendant argued that we had not asked for another room but offered to put us in one Sunday morning. We told her, too late for that, we have to leave today. Very unprofessional. Sunday morning my husband and the manager went up to the room next to us and knocked on the door several times before someone answered and she said she was in the shower. I don't know if you have a plumbing problem that sounds like hammering that goes on for hours or if it was somebody doing maintenance in the middle of the night but whatever it is we got very little sleep in the three nights we were there. One full night's sleep out of three is not acceptable. You can check your records we have stayed with you many many times we have family there but unless you make this right we will not be staying...
Read moreRooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast room had real tableware and silverware, which is great and an exception in the US. Except for the young woman with the coloured hair who was working the weekend in the breakfast room (she is a gem), all other staff we met was rather sulky and didn't make us feel welcome. Examples: The lady who checked us in only gave minimal information, we had to ask for every detail. Not even the breakfast hours or pool hours. Rather sullen too. The lady who cleaned up the breakfast room had this passive-aggressive tone to her when we used the tableware instead of the disposables: "Oh, dishes. I love dishes. Just kidding." And the room maids didn't even bother to greet us when we passed them in the corridor and said hi. Also: The bathroom in our room (273) definitely needs a complete overhaul. Some floor tiles are loose, and even the toilet bowl wobbles. The free WiFi was very bad at times: Once they had to reset the router because nothing was working at all for 1/2 our, at other times it was just slow or not responding for minutes. Rarely did we have really good, fast internet access. The room would also benefit from more power points close to the bed. Just one isn't enough in this...
Read moreSheets and blankets were EXTREMELY damp..yes it was also extremely humid outside for the last week but it's obvious that nobody probably slept in that room for a few days and they absorbed a ton of moisture from the air (that the air conditioner should have been removing!) or.. they were never fully dried after being washed? Either way.. I couldn't sleep at all and I explained everything to the front desk manager in the morning and she said she would make sure they ",took care of it" which I assumed meant to that they were going to put on all new freshly washed and DRIED bedding... but when I got back to my room that night... all the bedding was just as damp as the previous night..so.. another night of practically no sleep...I'd have saved about $200 if I had just slept in my car in the parking lot. I am going to be calling the Radisson corporation to talk about this..... I've been a member of Carlson hotels since the early 2000's and I've usually been pretty happy at their Country Inn's...but... bedding that felt only about half dry two nights in a row after bringing it to their attention? Really? I'm not even sure if there was mold growing in that room and on the bedding..it was...
