Came here to get a mix of pizzas for the family. We were looking to try a Chicago style, a pan pizza and a couple of their thin crust.
Upon entering it was a delicious scent that stole my senses. The aroma was inviting and lingered, instantly pulling at the hunger strings.
As I approached the counter to order the cashier looked as if she were distraught, almost knowing what would play out in the next couple moments.
"I'd like to place an order" I said.
Her reply to me was "Oh, well, hold on a second, let me see if they're still making pizzas."
The employee without looking up, spoke out "The oven's off. We're done for the night. "
I looked into the kitchen to see a young man leaning on a counter engulfed in his phone and immediately thought he's probably too busy to make a good pizza anyway.
So unfortunately we were refused service.
The cashier was apologetic and I thanked her.
We showed up at least an hour before they were scheduled to close and were told the ovens had been turned off and they were done for the night??? I guess it must have been one slow night.
Nonetheless....
Very disappointing.
This set the tone for the business from my point of view.
If you can't honor your posted hours, do you honor your quality? Do you care about your ingredients and product? How about your consistency? Employees work ethic?
Not a very customer friendly approach to making money... but what do I know? I only managed at a couple Pizza and Pubs in my day.
Long story short.
I honestly don't know if I'll be back to have a bite any time soon...... I don't know how it tastes or how it looks.. but, I do know that they lost well over 60 dollars in sales that night.
Maybe next...

They made an exception for my daughter to have a plate of spaghetti. I ordered a pizza. After 10 min they brought out my daughter's food... But nothing else. I sat and watched my daughter eat (because there was nothing else for me to do since my meal was not ready yet), and then for 15 minutes after she was done, we still sat and waited for my food to arrive. I was going to tell our waitress to just have my pizza boxed up to go because I wasn't going to make my daughter wait around doing nothing while I ate, but I couldn't because our waitress was MIA for the past 10 minutes.
I got up and asked to speak with a manager then went back to my table. A manager came by and I explained why I was disappointed in the situation but the only answer I got was equivocally "too bad that's how it is". Finally my mysterious waitress appeared from the shadows so I immediately asked her to box up my pizza.
Spaghetti was unremarkable. Pizza toppings were good but the crust was mid at best. What's worse though is a business not understanding the concept of bringing all meals out at once, or an Italian restaurant not serving pasta 2 hours...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCanāt say enough good things about this place. I called to order takeout (a medium sausage stuffed pizza). When I arrived a few minutes early, the pizza was fresh and ready to go. This was on a busy Friday night, so I was very pleased to not have to wait. The stuffed pizza is so wildly delicious and, in my opinion, very reasonably priced.
I have dined in in the past and itās a very cozy, family friendly environment. It can get warm in there so thatās something to be aware of. I have never had any service issues. Wait staff in my experience is friendly and attentive. They do get quite busy sometimes, but the food is well worth the wait.
If you canāt deal with the excess of a stuffed pizza, the other styles of pizza are also very good. But the stuffed pizza is what really shines. You will have leftovers, but donāt worry because itās just as delicious reheated.
In my opinion as someone who eats too much pizza, Vitaleās is the best not only in Clinton, but in the QC and surrounding areas. Thereās a reason theyāve been around for a long time and still manage to pull in...
