UPDATE: I have returned since my first initial review to this location three other times. It’s generally pretty busy in the drive thru. It is always clean, and while it’s about average in wait time for orders, the workers have been friendly and the manager who was swearing and mean has been friendly. I’m updating my review given the positive experiences.
There were three of us when we made our visit to the Dairy Queen at this location. All of our orders were fairly simple and do not take them long. I believe we waited for about 15 minutes. There was an issue with the ice cream machine and that is not always a manager’s fault or even the staff’s. An issue outside of the staff’s ability to control occurs, good management and leaders adjust, act professionally, and fix the problems. I don’t mind waiting when some thing outside of the workers control seems to impact the flow of traffic; unpredictable events occur all the time. However, was very disappointed in the Language of the employees as we were standing there, waiting. This manager was setting the bar and tone with profanity laced comments to the staff at a volume customers could easily hear. It was not only unprofessional it was disrespectful. I will not be returning to this location. Those who hold positions of authority at this location did not know how to conduct myself in a professional manner. It’s a failure of leadership and a sad reflection on the location and company. Sure the location is clean, but dealing with staff in front of customers as the manager did is inappropriate and extremely...
Read moreWell First off I work there people need to understand everything is prepared fresh each order and so forth were not fast food were fan food if you want a McDonald's or burger King type speed go there they have plenty of food already cooked and plenty of cooks in the kitchen if we started keeping food cooked we would have a lot of it going to waste honestly isn't it better to have fresh food?and when it gets busy some people understand that food takes time too cook chicken takes about 5 mins a patty by itself takes about 4 mins and it's one order at a time and only one cook works in the kitchen each shift you expect one cook to have plenty of orders ready and done in a flash we have estimated drive and windown times and yet still not behind on the owners estimated timing...so remember were not fast food and everything comes fresh so next time you order make a call in just remember a patty ,steak 4 mins chicken 5,fries 3 and I don't need to explain anymore your order will be prepared in the order received nobody else is special to get there order before anyone else Its a job but people need to understand patience is a virtue to a certain point..there's always that one person that is never...
Read moreNot real happy with this place at the least bit. My wife and I had just got back into town from a long trip and thought it would be a good idea to stop at DQ and get some food for 3 of us. A 6piece chicken strip, a kids meal, and a chicken sandwich. The place was not very busy at all as the parking lot only had a few cars in it. We waited for 45 minutes and watched 2 other people leave that ordered behind us in the drive-thru. Our turn came to pull up to the window and we waited another 15 to even be acknowledged at the window. The cook finally came with our food, verified our order, and then disappeared. I sat there for what felt like an eternity staring at my food on the counter. This is the 2ND TIME this has happened to me. We ended up driving all the way across town to Wendy's where we were in and out in less than 15min. I am not blaming the employees, though one of them was out in the parking lot taking his sweet time doing who knows what in his car. Quite possibly understaffed is why this happens. So, to say the least, I will not be wasting any more time or money on this place. If you have a couple of hours to kill, go to this DQ. If not, don't...
