Oishii Japanese Thai Sushi Restaurant — Restaurant in Clovis

Where on Earth did these 4 star reviews come from !!!??? First time eating there, we sat down and waited a while for any service, the guy who was taking order also at register, service was 3 star out of 5, never asked us if wanted any refills or if all was ok. The amount of food is a two out of 5, it was Japanese serving size at the best !!! We ordered shrimp and only came with two pieces while another thai restaurant we ate at had at least 10 or more !!! The squid was tiny and so was the squid !!! I reallyy cant believe serving size, honestly !! The quality, I cant explain it!! I have never in my life Ever tasted Thai curry such as that, there also was extremly very little sauce spread out on a small plate, UNREAL, I never had curry like that, the taste was unexplainable and not of Thai curry, possibly Vietnamese but NOT Thai !! All in all I ate again when I got home, I was still hungry the serving and size was way below expectations. Please go and try and write an honest review, I cant give more than two star !! The presentation of the food on plate is nice but the small plate makes the serving look bigger which it not !! This is not a real Thai restaurant, the spices used is not Thai, the Japanese food is not anything like japoanese .... Take it from me and try it,...

So while placing an order over the phone. The female who picked up sounded as if it was a burden to answer the phone. She told me to hold on and put the phone down. For 6 minutes, I was able to hear her move around, chit chatting and wasn't even taking any orders with people. Only after I shouted 5 times, she finally picked up the phone and started being polite and taking my order, as if a manager was near her. My order took 7 minutes total when it could have been 1, because she wanted to socialize rather than do her job. When I showed up about 25 minutes later. My food still wasn't ready. She was complaining to all the customers that the cooks kept moving around the tickets and messing up orders. She would say how she was doing all the work and making all the customers feel awkward. She hasn't said anything to me for any update for a good while when I went to pick up the food. They were so busy preparing the food for people at the restaurant that they forgot about the orders to go. Turns out, the she took my order wrong, and when I went to confront them. I keep giving this place a chance because it really is the best Asian food in town. Really gave up on this place during COVID because service, food quality and food quantity really suffered. Heard recently they were really good and I needed green curry in my life, so I got some to go. I asked for it to be in a cup because it was an issue in the past. When I got there, they were bringing it out and it wasn't in a cup. I didn't want to be a pain, so I paid and took the food. Unfortunately, it was so full of the juice that it spilled everywhere inside the bag and all over my egg rolls. Given that dinner was more than $20 after tip, I just couldn't deal with the giant mess of that. They were nice about it and redid the curry and put it in a cup sealed with plastic. It worked so much better. Unfortunately, the portions are still very small for the price.
