Phở Lê Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Clovis

Weekday lunch visit to this newly opened restaurant (opened in August 2019). Not quite all of the menu items are available yet (Vietnamese Coffee and Smoothies listed, but not ready for public service).

Brick & Mortar - Clean lines with fresh and bright colors. Comfortable booth and table seating. Large televisions all about the place that could be fun to catch a Thursday night or Sunday mid-day NFL game.

Food - Having read reviews on other sites, I was excited to try their wings appetizer. They did not disappoint. We could smell them before we could see them: garlic, a little fish sauce, ginger - and the taste followed suit with a sweet finish. Nothing overpowered each bite, but they were very tasty.

The BBQ Pork Vermicelli with Egg roll came in a large bowl with a light "dressing/sauce" to cut through the very flavorful barbecue'd pork. The egg roll was very crunchy, and soaked up the sauce nicely. Vermicelli had good texture and helped the flavors mingle.

The Pho with Rare Steak was large, even for a medium sized portion. Plenty of noodles and quite a lot of steak lurked under the beef broth. The portion of veggies and aromatics was a bit stingy, but our waitress asked if I'd like more before I could even think to ask. Great flavors that hit just the right spice level with 2 teaspoons of sambal olek that they delivered with the pho.

Service was professional, friendly, and quick.

Bottom Line - I was pleased to see that any of their early opening jitters had disappeared, and that the kitchen seemed to be moving at full steam. We really enjoyed lunch here, and plan to be back again soon. Highly...

A cute nice pho place however this was not the best experience… the prices were pretty high and our drinks were charged more than what were listed on the menu. Did not have real drinks just had bottled sodas and ran out of bottled water. Were out of quite a few things on the menu which was pretty disappointing. It didn’t take a lot of time to get our food and it was good, and then we didnt see our server for like a solid 15-20 minutes and we were completely done eating. There was a younger guy serving and I think he may have been the only person there working, and I feel bad about complaining about how long it took for him to come back for us to pay but he kinda like disappeared. After sitting down at the table, immediately noticed a large stain on the table cloth. Lifting up the table mat revealed dried food underneath. After examining the overpriced menu my friends settled on the rare steak and pho. It tasted strongly of sweet cinnamon and was not all too good. The jasmine iced tea was terrible. On top of that someone found a piece of metal in their food. The only reason im rating two stars is because they were kind enough to make the meal free for my friend that found the metal in his food.
