9.13.25... 1st off waitress was AMAZING and that was the best part. Disappointed... not sure if it's budget saving, laziness or bad management. But 2 adults get 1 main menu and 1 breakfast menu to look at. So you have to pass it back and fourth trying to decide what to order. We get seated on the patio that has thin plywood floors that move when anyone walks by. They put as many people back there as they can. Front of resturant has open tables but they pack the patio like its special. But it's about a strong wind and a cough away and you'll be in the lake. In 2025 lemonade has..NO free refills... because fesh squeezed lemonade is so expensive.. I guess. I mean 6 to 8 lemons, 1 cup sugar and water makes a gallon. But maybe they blame tariffs. Got our food I had a burger with bacon and cheese. It gets served on a plate small enough for the burger and fries and literally nothing else. So If you want Ketchup ask for another plate or cover your fries and maybe not make a mess. The burger was SALTY, I figured the bacon added the salt. That wasnt the case. The burger meat tasted like it is rolled in salt and then salted on the grill. Salty enough that you get the salt burns on your lips. Like oversalted McDs fries. My wife's meal was fine except the 'coleslaw' and I use that definition loosely. Again maybe cost cutting. It was literally mayo and cabbage. That's all.... No vinegar, no lemon juice, no sugar, NOTHING but mayo. SOOOO bad I spit it out. I guess people come here for nostalgia or out of habit, The food is definitely not why. 6th time going in 4yrs 1st time was great and each time we have gone it gets worse each time. 5 times we've sat on the patio, while main dining room has several open tables. And yes we've asked. They usually just keep walking to the back....follow me please. WONT GO BACK and if you wondering... its a risk. There are better options.
Arrived 1230.. busy..but... lots of open tables.. had to wait .. taken to a small table.in the back corner.... that was dirty. Hostess half wiped it down. Back of resturant was packed front of resturant had plenty of open tables. Waiter was good...
Read moreI have never had good food here. When they first instituted their all-you-can-eat shrimp some years ago, the fried shrimp was always cold and soggy (dinning in). Stopped eating there for some years. Went in last year for a to-go order that was called in, the to-go pick-up area is in the back of the restaurant at the bar so it took 10 mins for anyone to even realize I was there. Then it took another 20 mins for them to make my order after it had already been called in 30 mins before that so I ended up walking out after they brought my order to me and it was wrong. Stopped going for another 6 months. Then today I placed an order on Waitr and I typed in the Notes section, "extra crispy fries okra", of course the okra was soggy when I received it which I can agree could have been the packaging method but as anyone from the south can attest you can tell how long something has been fried by the color and this okra was NOT in long enough to become extra crispy as it was a very pale gold color. I understand that these things can happen from time to time but I keep giving them chances and they keep falling short on even the most basic of tasks. Lesson learned on my part. I will not be eating there on my dime again. Maybe on someone else's but there will be hesitation...
Read moreNice environment and food was okay (my potatoes were cut way too big the middle of some of my potatoes were just very hard I couldn’t eat some pieces) and I honestly think just one more egg would of been perfect for the amount of potatoes I had.
Our waiter was heavy set dude really cool and smiled and greeted us and got our food fast. He’d check on us every time he passed through. There was a light mix up with our mimosa pitcher and he got it fixed before we could finish our food and thankful for that.
However the reason for 3 stars is when my husband and I who were having a great day walked in there were 2 girls in the front, the hostesses, one with colored hair and the other a short Caucasian girl slim within an older AirPod model bud in her ear. She saw us walk in and did not acknowledge us at all whatsoever I thought she was joking at first, no smile, no hello, nothing. For her to be working at the front as a hostess is not acceptable to be that rude. I told her “Good morning” and smiled along with my husband she simply grabbed menus and said “follow me”.
When you work at the door first impression is everything and even if you’re having a bad day you’ve got to push through and put your work hat/face on. I hope...
