This is the first time in my life I’ve felt compelled to leave a negative review.|With two small children, we rarely get the chance to dine out. But today, to celebrate my mother’s birthday, we made the effort to book a reservation and drove over an hour to enjoy what we hoped would be a special evening. We had reserved a table for four, as our oldest child would be dining with us. When we arrived, we were shown to a small table already set for two, perhaps three at most if you squeezed. Assuming there was a mistake, we politely pointed out that our reservation was for four people. To our surprise, the server insisted this was indeed the table reserved for us. Still believing this must be an error, we asked to speak with a manager.|Enter Pam, who, from the moment she approached our table, made it clear she had no interest in addressing the situation professionally. With a frown on her face, she immediately launched into explaining how this table could supposedly accommodate four, or even “Five” people. This claim was baffling, as seating four at that table would require pulling an extra chair into the aisle, blocking the walkway, and ignoring the fact that the table itself was far too small to hold plates for more than three people.|Before we could finish explaining our concerns, Pam interrupted to say she was “too busy” and that this was the best she could offer us. She then walked away mid conversation, leaving us stunned. I’ve dined at countless restaurants, and I have NEVER experienced such dismissive and unprofessional behavior from a manager.|While we wanted to leave immediately, we didn’t want to ruin my mother’s birthday. Reluctantly, we stayed. At one point, we asked another server how many people typically dine at this table. She replied, without hesitation, “Two to three.” This, of course, completely contradicted Pam’s earlier assertion that the table could seat “Five”.|The food itself was decent, but by then, Pam’s attitude had soured the entire experience. Instead of enjoying a special meal, we simply wanted to finish quickly and leave.|To make matters worse, a server accidentally dropped a plate of baked potatoes right next to my child. While accidents happen, and the server apologized profusely, Pam—who was standing right there—said absolutely nothing to us. Not a single word. No “Is your child okay?” or even a perfunctory “I’m sorry.” Instead, she frowned even harder, barked orders at the server to fetch a mop, and walked away without so much as glancing in our direction.|Pam, as a manager, do you truly believe it’s acceptable to not acknowledge or address a situation like that? I wasn’t expecting grand gestures—just basic decency. Instead, you avoided eye contact with me for the rest of the night.||We will never return to this restaurant. And to anyone who asks, I will happily share how a manager managed to singlehandedly ruin what should have been a joyful and memorable...
Read moreMy husband and I always wanted to stop at Harris Ranch Steakhouse since we travel the i5 all the time from Az. To Northern California. Well we finally did on our way back to Az. After attending a funeral we finally decided to do so 1/5/2024 evening around 830pm. I must say it's not anything to brag about, I've been to far better Steak houses....we were seated.. sat for over 10 minutes while we watched many people pass by without acknowledging that we were present ( not even a glass of water, or I will be right with you) finally I grabbed a server as she was walking by and asked may I have a glass of water please. The hostess Monsai was great very helpful, Sarina was our server she was excellent. She came to the rescue! However, we were not impressed at all...we had the 24oz porterhouse and split it since it was so late for dinner ... And ordered 2 side potatoes and 1 side veggies... The steak was Soo grissley and tough... One of the toughest steaks my husband's ever eaten for any kind of money. We just didn't have the heart to say anything else about it. The manager was already kind and had come over and apologized. The server was excellent, And we did not have time to wait around for them to get us another steak so we let it go we had over an 8-hour drive still to go. They had already apologized for the service and lack of attention....and gave 10 percent off and a free dessert , so my husband and I chose not to say anything but I doubt that we will ever stop again which I'm very sad to say. And we probably would never recommend it also. We will never bad mouth the restaurant by any means but if anybody asks us we would have to tell the truth. I myself was a server for 31 years and a manager of a restaurant so I do understand all that's involved of running a restaurant. I will say the manager was nice The gal that I stopped Serena she was great she ended up being our server and she tried to accommodate in every way possible. We just did not have the heart say anything about the steak so we chose to take it home. Thank you so much though for trying to accommodate us, we are sad that it wasn't exactly...
