Stopped through the Coalinga Truck Stop Starbucks on our way from Sacramento to Riverside to drop my oldest son off at college. This Starbucks is beautiful and clean--the staff not so nice. The woman who helped us, wish I had looked at her nametag, was super rude. She did not smile, greet us, or do anything helpful besides key in our order. When I was trying to think of the name of the double smoked bacon breakfast sandwich, I said something along the lines of "double smoked cheddar sandwich" and she stares at me, sighs, and says "I'm sorry I don't know what you're saying". She points to the side of her and says "the breakfast items are listed on that sign if that helps". I then order it exactly by the name it goes by--because I guess it's too far of a guess to know what I mean when I said double smoked, cheddar, sandwich. So rude! Are you just trying to be difficult and unhappy? Are you just trying to fluster me? Why? You are paid to work here and I am a paying customer. Anyway, rudest Starbucks I've ever been to and I LOVE Starbucks. I drink a Venti Americano with heavy cream almost every day and have tried so many Starbucks in this nation, I can't even count them. Anyway, all this to say, if you don't like your job then find another one somewhere else...you get PAID to do your job so why do you act like it's an inconvenience to DO THE JOB? ...
Read moreI went in to order an espresso, which but the way was not in the menu above, the girl taking the order was very nice and simply said they could make it for me, so I ordered a double shot of espresso with soy milk, have her my name for the order and waited. There were about 4 customers at the time, there were 2 girls, one attending the drive thru and the other the customers inside. She called 2 orders ahead of me, then she just left a cup at the counter with a sticker on. Never called my name for the order, after a few minutes of looking stupid just standing there I then walked toward the cup, looked at the name on it and asked her if it was a double espresso with soy milk, and without even making eye contact with me while looking busy talking to the other girl, she replied: -"yes it is....", I never ordered a cold espresso, yet that's what I received. I just walked away with my supposedly double espresso, "COLD" in my hand. I noticed that girl sort of looked a bit annoyed, she acted as if she was afraid of messing up her manicure or very close to that, her demeanor was certainly the one of a Queen looking down upon her servants when she replied to me regarding my coffee. Poor customer service, completely different to the girl who...
Read moreI've been here twice - one pleasant and other not so much. On busy weekends, I would really suggest not making mobile orders. I walk into this place to pick up my order 20 minutes later, the order was obviously not ready, I understand. But when asked a barista who looked tired, they just sighed and didn't even care to answer whereas they catered to every other request that another customer had - even handing out a straw - privilege or something else I don't know! Second barista came by, who took all the receipts from mobile kiosk and threw it aside literally - I knew that was the end of my order and I walked out. Well, I know very well they were overloaded. I reached out to customer care later to get this resolved, but please Starbucks - give realistic goals to baristas to reach, and realistic estimates to customers. That saves...
