Dunkin' — Restaurant in Coconut Creek

This is my go to dunkin' donuts. I really actually like this location, which is not reflective of my rating. But here's why. There was a manager that I haven't seen lately, she was so personable and so kind. She knows almost every customer by name, including myself. She goes above and beyond for her job. She's always smiling, and always happy to help. I haven't seen her for a little bit now, hopefully she's still there and as far as the rest of the staff there are definitely one or two there that are phenomenal as well. Definitely the young man that usually prepares the sandwiches and the young lady with the brown hair is phenomenal as well. The reason why I gave the lower score though, I typically order from them at least once or twice a week - it was more but now I am trying to cut down on the spending. The last three times I came in, my croissant sandwich was so burnt to a crisp, that even biting into it was like biting into a stale old piece of bread. I was really upset but I don't want to make a scene because like I said I do enjoy some of the people who work there. If something is not made satisfactory, the other employees will gladly help and fix whatever I show them didn't come out right. The young lady that makes the sandwiches looks like she hates being there. This is probably why my sandwiches are constantly horrible. I have to take off almost the entire bread to be able to consume the sandwich. The coffee is not being made as great as it used to be either. It's not horrible, but it's not like it used to be. I think it's because, the new people that they hired. They don't care as much as the old ones. Either way, I wish I could give them five stars because there are a few employees there that are super hard workers and really want to make you happy when you come in there. The gentleman with the long hair pulled back in a ponytail is always working super hard. I would still recommend this place, just check your sandwich...

Tyrone changed the garbage can in front of customers and did not rewash his hands before serving us. I asked him, 'Hey, shouldn't you be washing your hands after handling the garbage can like that?' He replied, 'Oh, I was just changing the garbage bag, and I'm using the paper to get your donuts.' I was disgusted. My son was with me, and I didn't want to make a scene since I had already paid. Plus, we reheat our donuts, so I figured that "should" kill any germs he tried to pass on to us. But after writing corporate to inform them of mishandling the food I decided to just throw out the donut. We reheat food to be extremely hot but I can't unsee what I saw.

There was also a female customer behind me, and still no hand washing from Tyrone. I'm documenting this not only for myself but also for the other customer behind me--if she gets sick, it's because of Tyrone. If anyone gets sick it's because they don't care at that Dunkin'. If I get sick, it's due to negligence in them training your staff on proper food handling there will be h*ll to pay.

It was one person, Tyrone, who handled the garbage (a large trash can under the register) on 10/5/2024. I gave corporate the specific time and I'm holding on to the receipt. If there are recordings, they can verify they run a dirty kitchen. For the record, I spoke to him, and I'm informing you guys of the situation.Their employees are not practicing proper food handling at all. This location os close to my home, in the past I have stopped going here , Firstly they watered down the coffee and the employee's need to be trained in customer service. Well I went today to give another chance. I waited for the cashier to attend to me, I saw her standing in the back on her phone, she took her merry time to take my order after 5 or so mins. Then she left and walked over to the station that prepares the order. So I'm waiting for my receipt, she never came over to give me, so I do not have her name, so I'll give a description, young black girl with long braids and a terrible attitude. I wanted to call and speak to a manager but I feel posting here might get someone higher up to pay attention to this location. Of course there are some that are great, but this particular bad apple may spoil the whole bunch.Oh I have to pray she put on her gloves after she was on her phone again in the food area. I now will have to go to the other location, much better service at the corner of Military and Hilsboro. Hopefully they don't go downhill. Come on workers, when you go to a job, do it.
