Brewgards Liquor and Lounge — Restaurant in Cody

Stopped in Brewgards with a group of seven for lunch. Placed an order for standard bar food — you know, burgers, fries, wings — nothing to write home about unless you’re warning people about aggressively average food. The cook looked like he just walked straight out of a prison kitchen shift, and I’m not talking Michelin-star prison.

Here’s the kicker: when I went to pay, I was told there’d be a 4% “credit card charge.” But instead of adding it as a separate line item like a normal human business, they just folded it into the food price like some shady garnish. And then — then — they expect you to tip 20% on the inflated total that already includes the mystery fee. So basically, you’re tipping on a surcharge for the privilege of paying with your own money. Disappointed, ordered 4 fish and chips on fish & chip Friday to go happened to be Valentine’s Day. Ordered at 5:19pm. Arrived to pickup approximately 25 minutes later and was informed that they were out of FISH AND CHIPS “what”.

They offered a menu to pick something else restaurant was packed. It was gonna take forever, which became a moot point. I can’t speak to quality food as I didn’t get any. I’ve ordered from here before have eaten here many times before and had good excellent food and service. This was not the case this time.

Felt like bait and switch!

I stand by my review and feel it’s very fair. I have managed and worked in many a kitchen in my past. If you offer a special you stock appropriately to at least make it through main dinner service, poor planning poor...

At least 2-3 times a week I have been ordering lunch / dinner to go usually it’s great but recently the quantity has been way less. When I mentioned that to the lady at the window with an attitude told me that my order correct that I didn’t know what I was talking about. Not to mention the menu price is $9.75 so I asked why my total was $11.60 so the lady charged me extra so she could get a tip. She said she does that every order because I didn’t tip. She went and got the manager that’s very DISRESPECTFUL she wouldn’t even take a second to let me talk. Very disrespectful manager with an attitude problem, definitely someone you want representing your restaurant that's for sure. Looks like I will be looking for a new restaurant to go to every week.
