Mad Moose — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

My husband and I are obsessed with their chicken fried steak burrito (and I don’t even care for chicken fried steak). Our three littles normally eat the pigs in a blanket which they like, however are a little too oily for my kids to have too often. Hoping to try more of their menu to nail down the best things to order for my kids! A while ago, my whole family was insanely sick and it was my husbands birthday and all he wanted was their burrito. So I called praying that they would take our order (sometimes they are so busy that you can’t reach them over the phone because so many calls are coming in). They answered and made the food as quick as they could!! 🎉😭 It’s a 30 minute drive for us to get to mad moose, so we don’t like going unless we can call ahead and avoid waiting in our car too long with our three little children! This is a great food truck for breakfast. Their chicken fried steak and gravy with biscuit is so good, it has a fun name but I dont remember it. I have been all over looking for a great chicken fried steak and I have tried many since being here this past year. This is my favorite so far. The search is over, I know this because now when I want chicken fried steak Mad Moose is what I want. Big portions so one meal can feed two. My husband had the chicken fried steak burrito and half of it was as big as his hand, he is a big guy 6'4 220 pounds he only ate half. This location has an eating area to keep warm for the winter season while you wait for your food and you can eat there as well. This is probably the best food in CoeurdAlene. Mainly breakfast items but if you try and go there in the morning most of the time they’re closed when online information tells you otherwise. Expect to wait longer than any other place around here except for Giorgio drive thru. It’s 3 star is given due to the inconsistency this food truck has offered. I can’t tell you how many times I would drive across the city to get their food only to have them be closed . But their quality in food exceeds those wait times and inconsistent hours .
