My girlfriend and I stopped at the food truck lot in CDA while out running errands. The pictures looked fire—double smashburger, fries, drink. Easy win, right?
Wrong.
I ordered the double with lettuce and tomato. What I got was… wet-wet. Like, I just kissed it all over the back of its neck. I don’t know if they grilled the lettuce or put the whole thing in the dishwasher to keep it warm, but biting into it felt like my burger was retaining water.
I asked if they had fry sauce. The guy in the back (who I guess was the chef) hyped it up like it was the stuff of legends. Fries? Saltier than my ex-girlfriend’s group chat after a breakup. Burger? No seasoning. None. Like they skipped every spice rack on purpose. Ever heard of garlic powder? Onion powder? Nah…
Final thoughts: Left with a full stomach and an empty will to live. Felt like the cook got dumped mid-shift and took it out on my lunch. Honestly, a great choice if you’re trying to quit...
