Main Street Pizza/The Basement on Main St. — Restaurant in Colfax

My girlfriend and I walked in and noticed that it smelled good and food looked good. I had to walk over to the middle of the restaurant to talk to a cashier after standing in the entry waiting for an host or waiter or some kind of greeting. The cashier said we could grab a menu and sit anywhere. We sat down and waited... and waited... and waited. 30 minutes goes by and a man in a sweat stained white baseball hat comes out with a pen and pad and walks up to an older couple that had literally just walked in the door 30 minutes AFTER we sat down, and he passes right by us and takes their drink order. Then he comes back out again makes eye contact with me but goes back to the same couple's table and takes their food order and then disappeared back in the kitchen. It seemed like all the employees were hiding in the back. Terrible service. My girlfriend and I will probably never go back there unless it's a new restaurant. I spoke with a female cashier to politely let her know that we had been waiting and about the new people walking in being served right away. She didn't apologize or offer anything. She just had a blank look even after I said we're about to walk out. Another table walked out at about the same time we did. This place is an absolute gem! I was just passing by and decided to give it a try instead of heading to Reno, and I am so glad I did! The experience was beyond my expectations.

🥗 Their salads are top-notch! 🥗 I ordered their usual salad, thinking it would be just like any other, but as soon as I took a bite, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. The freshness of the ingredients and the delightful combination of flavors left me thoroughly impressed!

🍗 Oh, but wait, there's more! 🍗 The real highlight was their incredible special sauce that accompanied the salad. I couldn't resist asking for more! It was a flavor explosion, and I'm already dreaming about my next visit.

The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This place deserves all the praise and recognition it gets.

My friends and I went here a few months ago, and the food was delicious. I came back with a friend yesterday, and the food was delicious, but the service could have been better. We ordered fried zucchini sticks with ranch and lemon slices and a 1/2 medium combination pizza without sausage and a 1/2 canadian and pineapple on thin crust. When they brought the fried zucchini sticks, they brought lime instead of lemon but quickly brought the lemon slices. The fried zucchini sticks were a perfect ratio of breading and fried zucchini. When the pizza came, it was all combination. They quickly corrected the issue by bringing us a small canadian and pineapple pizza. The combination pizza had way too many items on the very thin crust and could not hold the topping. Even though it was very messy to eat, it was very flavorful.
