Azteca Restaurant — Restaurant in College Park

My friend and I, we came to Azteca at 8:40pm. A female server greeted us and we and we said table for two at which point she said we close in twenty minutes guilting us to hurry. So my friend said ok so we’ll order to go. She runs off to get her table a check and we proceeded to the bar to order our food.

The bartender took our hundred twenty dollar order which we tipped 15%. As we were about to get our food my friend asked if we could get chips and salsa as we didn’t have the chance to eat in because the server kind of directed us to hurry and do take out instead. She wanted to charge us $7.00 for the amount of chips chipotle gives you at $4.00. So I told her no. That’s ludicrous because that same server could’ve saved the experience with Azteca but she wasn’t customer friendly and earned them five stars.

Now onto the food. The rib eye special which was $39, had a good size rib eye marinated in a sauce that was superb. It came with four big shrimps and three (half size ping pong balls) of crab meat all served with vegetables and rice. The only thing missing from the meal was tortillas. That would’ve complemented the meal and it would’ve been the perfect tie in. We also ordered three tres leches, I have to say that it was the best tres leches I have ever tasted. If they make the tees leches in house which I doubt as the packaging/display doesn’t suggest so the person making the cake deserves a commendation your cake rocked!!!

We've been looking for a place for really good Texmex food since our favorite place closed. I think we've found it.

First off, excellent service! We were greeted by their super-nice manager Fernado Luis! He made us feel welcome right as we walked through the door!

We were quickly seated by the host who was very friendly and soon after our lovely waitress came by! Chips and salsa came out fast as well as our waters. It's a nice, relaxed space with plenty of space for large parties. They have a full bar with every drink possible. They even had my favorite on their menu...Italian Margarita! No other place I've been to has had it. I had to order one and it did not disappoint! Perfect! They have a huge drink and food menu! And their horchata....delicious!! We hadn't even eaten yet and I knew we'd be coming back!

I ordered the seafood enchiladas and the hubbs got the chicken burrito. We split and order of cheese enchiladas because that our go-to when we check out a place! Every bite was hot, fresh, and delicious! The seafood was FRESH and not rubbery like so many other places. The enchiladas...just the taste we've been looking for find! So good and we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow.

The staff checked on us throughout our meal and made sure we had all we requested. Very pleasant experience and we'll definitely be coming back!! They also have a brunch on Sundays for $28 that sounds delightful! Nice to find a local place with good food and service! Looking forward to...

We brought our entire flag football team—yes, the whole squad—into Azteca Restaurant in College Park, and from the moment we walked in, Jhony made sure we were taken care of like VIPs. Coordinating a large group isn’t easy, but Jhony handled it with absolute professionalism, efficiency, and a genuinely welcoming attitude that made the evening unforgettable. The service was phenomenal—drinks came out fast, orders were spot-on (no small feat with a big hungry team!), and he made sure everyone had what they needed without missing a beat. Jhony was friendly, attentive, and had great recommendations from the menu, which, by the way, did not disappoint. From the sizzling fajitas to the flavorful enchiladas and mouthwatering tacos, everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of authentic flavor. Not one person left hungry—and several of us are already planning to come back with family and friends. Huge shoutout to Jhony for going above and beyond.
