So, I ordered some food on Grubhub from this restaurant. The first time I ordered the crab deviled eggs and got deviled eggs but with no crab. Called the restaurant spoke to the manager who was very nice and apologized and actually told me they don't put crab on the deviled eggs after happy hour(why is it on the menu then?) No problem, he hooked me up with free deviled eggs w/crab on my next order. Then I ordered one of they're not so cheap specialty burgers. The bottom bun was just a doughy mess, had to eat it with just half a bun. I said ok, I'll give them a little break for a while. So tonight after a few months I gave them another try. Ordered shrimp tacos(which I had gotten before and wasn't bad then) and crab poutan. Same thing as the buger, tacos were a discussing doughy mess..unedible. I called and spoke with the manager(still very nice)who said " yea it doesn't travel well. We'll don't put it on the menu. I paid $35 for mush shrimp tacos. It's all in the preparation of take out food. I ordered the same things from other restaurants and the food comes in with packaging and the right materials for moisture in containers and I do consider distance and travel time. It may just cost pennies more for the right packaging or just pay attention to the food prep. I've own a few restaurants so I know what i'm talking about, take out can be a tricky thing. Figure it out like other not so tasty restaurant. We don't want to pay a lot $$ for crappy food. Oh, and the poutan was tasty(not enough crab but tasty)and packaged well. Ok, but could be better for take out....

First time here today, with my wife and son. Place was empty, yet we were not received by a waiter or maitre at the door, and it took almost 3min to get a menu.
The menu says they have local and seasonal beers and tells you to ask the waiter about it. I asked and he didn't even know what I was talking about. When I pointed to the menu, he went to the bar to ask.
My son wanted a burger, so I asked the waiter what the size of the kids burger was. And the answer was too small. I asked for the weight, and again the answer was too small. So I had to order the regular one, which is 8oz!! Of course that was too much for a slim 9 yr boy! Couldn't the waiter have warned us about it?
I also didn't see any indication that the burgers came with fries, so I've order 1 for the tree of us (we don't eat much). When our food came, all burgers had fries, and a huge portion!! Again, the waiter should have told us!!
Before leaving, I asked who seemed to be the manager, and he said the kids burger are big, like 6oz! I told him everything that happened... And all we got was some discount vouchers a next visit??
We are never...
Read moreThis was a real disappointment for me. Seeing a new restaurant fill in the old Hard Times location had me really excited for the results were less than stellar.
Good news first: the service, and the chili, are good. My waitress was kind and helpful even going so far as to offer me a new bun for my burger when it came out soaked.
The bad news is that the burger was awful. I ordered the bacon cheddar burger and what I got was an overly sweet burger that tasted like I was eating maple syrup on a kings hawaiian bun. The burger was also soaking wet to the point where it needed a new bun by the time it made it to me. The fries were essentially decoration as they were bland and flavorless. For $19 I'd expect much better out of burger.
A smaller gripe but for as uncrowded as it was when I visited it felt super loud inside and for whatever reason they're televisions aren't synced so you'll see the same sporting event on 3 TV's and each has it at a different point in the event.
A shame to say, but I don't see this being a place I'd return to,...
