Chimy's College Station — Restaurant in College Station

I had nothing but bad experiences here in years past, but I bumped into one of the bartenders while out and about and she insisted I give it another shot.

I'm glad I did.

It's often very crowded, but they keep up with it quite well.

The food is Tex Mex and pretty good at that. Drinks are reasonably priced and there isn't a terrible wait, even when the crowd is overwhelming.

I am a big fan of the slow times as you get a chance to talk to the friendly staff or just hang out with friends and get blitzed on a Monday.

I went to a conference at the A&M Hotel and Conference center and Google recommended this place to eat on one of our free nights. I would have given this place five stars if it wasn't for the cleanliness. The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the service was top notch. But this place is a college dive bar. I was overcharged here and the manager, Robbie (I believe that’s how you spell his name) was outright rude. He was not willing to resolve the problem and told me that I “should not be going out if I can’t pay an extra $15” (I was overcharged $20). He also implied that I might have been overly intoxicated and not properly remembered what I ordered. Mind you, I only had one drink.
