So! What an experience, we grabbed lunch on our way to the new Little Debbie park about a mile away. We got to the park about 3 minutes later and while I opened my sandwich wrapper I could smell the stale bread. No matter how good the chicken inside is you just can't eat a sandwich with stale bread so I took a bite of just the chicken patty and realized it was cold and bendy, not crispy anymore and I got to sit there and watch my family eat, my husband ate his burger patty and left the bread out and I ate my fries. I NEVER, EVER, NEVER bring food for a refund but I was so upset because in the drive thru I asked the girl if they had any spicy sauce and she said no, only come-back sauce but my husband ran in for BBQ and noticed they had buffalo sauce! What! So 20 minutes later we left the park and went for a refund. Entire sandwich minus a bit from the patty...my husband came back out and had to find the receipt. How embarrassing for them. They said they can't find where they sold us the sandwich in their transactions - they were so slow at the time 🤣 he got the receipt and waited longer for a refund. It wasn't the $5. It's the point that they are not selling fresh goods and they are aware. Also you can see their supply racks and supply areas, if you look and pay attention you see so much crusty dried up ketchup and sauces on the racks and crumbs and start to notice the filth. The only other time I went to this location was the second day they opened awhile back and it was great. What a...
Read moreWent to get lunch on a Saturday and was dumbfounded how inefficient the 2 people up front were. The lady took an order for 3 people, spent 10 minutes putting their stuff on a tray while a young man stared at the frier waiting for fries to be done. THEN, after getting all that done, the lady asked the skinny guy to take our order. He takes the order for me and my friend, puts some items on the 2 trays, they were waiting on my burger. I told the lady, if you put fries on my friends tray his would be done, she finally did that while my friend's food was sitting on a counter or fry station for 5 minutes. I've worked fast food, I know new people can be slow, but what amazed me is that there was no manager around pointing out, do this, do that. It was sooooo excruciatingly slow. they could have taken my order while one person was setting up other orders and both of our orders would have been fulfilled 10 minutes quicker. The guys in the back were working fast, and the food tasted good, though the fries weren't super hot, because they sat in the rack for 5+ minutes. The place was clean, and the 2 people mentioned acted indifferent, but not rude. You have to ask for ketchup which was a little annoying, but they have strawberry jam out to select from. Of course I wasted 2 jams thinking it was ketchup, as the packet was red. I wonder how many other people do that. Self serve sodas would take away part of the slow service, but I understand the desire to limit...
Read moreThis is my second review for this place. The first one is below. I love Jacks! Their fried chicken is juicy and delicious and there milk shakes are the best in town! The mac is back but I haven't tried it again recently. I'll let you know.
When it first opened, this store was surprisingly good but it’s gone downhill ever since. I’ve tried everything on the menu and regularly bought the burgers, milkshakes and mac & cheese. They had the best mac & cheese in town and my favorite milkshakes. Well now they don’t even carry the mac & cheese. The burgers are thin and dry with big dry buns. They are literally always out of something. I’d say they only have milkshakes 65% of the time. Tonight I got a milkshake that wasn’t the milkshake at all. It was a cup of ice cream with a little bit of milk in it and barely mixed. I had to take it home and put it in a blender and add milk. If I wanted to make a milkshake, I would not have driven there and paid money for one. The store is obviously run by teenagers who are not trained and are not supervised. Just more evidence of the decline of civilization. Several months have passed since I wrote the above review of this store. I was happy to see that the mac & cheese is back so I ordered some. For four dollars, the tiny container was about half full. I should have taken a photo before I started eating it but I hope this photo captures the level. The uneaten portion is the original level of the whole...
