The BEST boba in the Chattanooga/Ooltewah area. Wayyyyyyy better than Tiger Tea, Kung Fu Tea, and Chopstix, hands down. It’s not just a sugary mess with overcooked boba like the other places, this is well-balanced flavors in the milk teas and fruit teas, and the boba is perfectly chewy and sweetened. Fruit teas have fragrant teas that are not sweet, with the sweetness coming from the boba pearls instead. Absolutely delicious, I wouldn’t get boba from anywhere but here.

We tried the food as well, and it was ok. We aren’t vegetarian, so maybe this is good for vegetarian restaurant food, but we weren’t impressed, unfortunately. We got the Japanese Curry with vegan chicken or something, and the Tofu stir fried noodles. The Curry needed a little extra flavor, so we added the sauce from our dumpling entree and salt, which was a bit better. Still needed extra oomph, and so did the noodles, so I would recommend a couple side sauces? Something spicy and maybe something sweet and sour? The noodles were evenly coated in the stir fry sauce, but I think they were just spaghetti noodles? That was disappointing, honestly. The portions were HUGE, however. The noodles would feed a family of 4, I’m not exaggerating. They could honestly do smaller portions for the noodles at least, it was just too much and barely fit into my takeout container. Overall the food is pretty good and definitely healthy. The milder flavors would be great for kids or folks who don’t like too much spice, and it’s definitely a better option for a healthier meal.

The ambiance is nice inside, very cute and they have fresh flowers in vases on the tables. A little loud with a full restaurant, but it’s nice and bright inside. It’s backed or supported by a religious organization, with pamphlets and stuff in a corner, which I’m not the biggest fan of, but their drinks are amazing so I’ll be back often. Absolutely worth stopping by, you will be surprised by the unassuming area this...

High Su is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

The food was very good! Every dish was a burst of flavor, meticulously prepared with the freshest ingredients. As a vegetarian, I was in heaven with the variety of options—each dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Whether you’re vegetarian or not, the menu will impress you with its creativity and depth of flavor.

The attention to detail in both the food and service truly made this meal unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing vegetarian cuisine, superb service, and an overall wonderful dining experience. I’ll definitely be back! We ate and left no crumbs.

The best restaurant in the Chattanooga area. Period. Here’s some facts:

Everything there is delicious.

My toddler only eats about four different meals consistently. Two of them are served at High Su.

One time I ran out of curry but still had rice while sharing a plate with my son, and the owner gave us a little extra for free.

One time my toddler was having a tantrum. The owner brought out a bell and animal figurine for him to play with and talked him down.

Did I mention all of their food is delicious?

I’ve been there many times and not once has a member of the staff ever said anything rude or even seemed like they were in a bad mood.

The only complaint I have is that their boba tea could use a bit more ice.

I would give this place a thousand...

I find myself thinking about the food at High Su more often than I’d like to admit. It’s always well portioned, well seasoned, and the temperature is always piping hot. They have a wonderful array of food offerings as well. My favorite so far is their Curry Rice Bowl! It’s everything you could wish for in a homey comfort bowl. The spice level is perfect for me. I’d say medium. The portion is generous, and the potatoes and carrots are cooked perfectly. I keep coming back again for this dish. Their rich broth ramen and the vegan beef noodles are among the best I’ve ever had, and the spring rolls are always perfectly crispy and hot! You will not be disappointed by a visit to High Su, for lunch or dinner! And if you’re not vegetarian, trust me, you won’t miss the meat 😋

I highly recommend High Su! The smoothies, (my fave was the mango) and food was delicious. I had the vegan beef and the golden tofu (not pictured). My son had tofu noodles. I was very very pleased with the portions and the food was the best I’ve had. My son mentioned that High Su was the best place he’s been to. I have eaten at a lot of different vegetarian places, but High Su has been my fave so far. The staff were so kind, and welcoming. I didn’t have to wait long for my order. Atmosphere was so calm and I really enjoyed my time there. If you are in the area, you have to check it out! I will for sure be back!
