I found this eatery through the weekly restaurant inspection report in our local newspaper. The location is easily worth the short drive from Chattanooga. We were highly pleased with everything about the experience! The calm music was audible but not too loud, so this is a great place for a fine, memorable meal and friendly conversation. The interior was sparsely decorated but tasteful and clean. About the food, the young lady asked about our preferred level of spiciness. I'd never seen fried okra on a menu in an Indian restaurant, so we had to try it. We loved it. We even added our own Cajun seasoning! I've eaten butter chicken from here to Australia, and this is the first time I could detect coconut milk in the sauce; the young worker confirmed that it was indeed coconut milk. I shared my dish with my husband and enjoyed some of his tasty chicken tikka masala. Rice and bread were included. Finally, there's never a bad time for gulab jamun! I am dangerous around these little fried cheese balls in sweet, buttery syrup. Using our own Styrofoam box, * we brought home enough leftovers for another meal for each of us. The food was every bit as tasty the second time around as the first. By all means, go! Read moreI cannot express to you how important this place is to me. I try to get over here as often as I can.
My father would bring me to the better India restaurants in the Atlanta area growing up. It quickly became my comfort food. So many complex flavors and spices.
Overall, some restaurants do different dishes better than others. Some restaurants struggle to make any dish well at all.
But this one... Has proven to be one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten at. I've been lucky enough to try several dishes over the last 7ish months. All are incredible. The buffet is a great opportunity to try new things for me and it changes frequently. If you know anyone who's never tried Indian food, bring them here. Especially on the weekend so that they can sample the buffet.
The staff are great people and are very helpful. They are excited to show you how to properly eat something or what goes good with something else.

The Bru instant coffee was a nostalgic touch that added to the comfort of the meal, and we wrapped up with classic Indian desserts like gulab jamun.
