One would think that if a restaurant places tables outside, that means there is outdoor dining. It might also suggest that there is service to those tables, unless of course, they are blocked off. The booths were not roped off. And I, naturally, assumed that there would be service to those tables. I did get a server, after I went inside and said we were seated outside. The hostess was mildly disinterested in customers. I am not sure what had her attention. After a few minutes a young man arrived at our table and wordlessly tossed chips, bowls, salsa on the table. He then fled so quickly I thought perhaps his hair was on fire. A server came out shortly after. I've had friendlier encounters with feral cats. As we only wanted a light lunch, our order was small. Smaller than it might have been had our server been friendlier. I ordered a burrito. My companion ordered a taco. My burrito was was pretty simple, stuffed with ground beef and covered in red sauce. No sour cream or anything, which was fine. But visually it was a little underwhelming. The taco, however, was something else. I understand that tacos are cheap and not particularly glamorous. But even Taco Bell can put one together that is visually appealing and...well...tasty. This thing was room temperature ground beef sitting forlornly in the bottom of a taco shell. There was no cheese. No tomato. No lettuce. Nothing. If the shell was at least half full, there might be room for some forgiveness. But, alas, it has the same amount of meat as your average Taco Bell taco. My first encounter with Los Potros...
Read moreI left a review a few weeks ago and you had responded wanting to know what went wrong. Unfortunately, google doesn’t let you respond to reply’s. The problem with our visit was all about customer service. We had three people in our party and had a very long wait time. It was very busy. Our server didn’t seem to know much about the menu and was very confused when taking our order. When our food came out, my husband’s was wrong. The server left the food and said the other person in our party could have it because they were going to throw it away. The manager then came by and asked what the issue was... we just said it was being fixed and that they had gotten an order wrong. He then jerked up the plate of food that was made wrong and said “you don’t pay, you don’t eat” we explained the server told us it was going to be thrown away and said he could just leave it. The manager kept asking if we were going to pay for the messed up food and then took the plate and left. I feel like the situation was handled very...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant since it opened. I have bee been there countless times and usually get the cheese enchiladas. It’s never been great, but was better before the pandemic. The rice used to be fluffy, the beans had substance, the salsa had flavor and the cheese was different. Now the rice is dry, the beans are almost runny, the salsa was bland and the cheese tastes like “cheese product”. The ranchero sauce is watery and almost tasteless, and the taste is not good. The service is okay but I don’t think I will ever return. Flash forward a few months: I decided to give it another try and just order something else. I ordered the green burrito villa. I had had it in the past and it was good. This time it was such a waste of money. Very little red sauce, very little flavor and it wasn’t even hot! The cheese wasn’t even melted and they put lettuce and sour cream on top. The rice was literally cold. I guess I won’t be going back...
