Okay, so first impression when I walked in it felt very comfortable. The lounge chairs were super cute and someone sat us in the corner of the restaurant which is really nice because it was nice and cozy. Our server was exceptional. She was amazing. She was attentive in just the right amount. First off, we started with some drinks and we were still waiting for two other people from our parties so we only did drinks first. It felt like there was no rush being put on us while we were waiting for the rest of our party at all. Which is honestly amazing because I know sometimes it feels like they want you to give up your table to give it to somebody else, but here that is not the case. Once our party arrived, we ordered a few appetizers. We got the charcuterie board and a veggie pizza to share for the table. First off, the veggie pizza was one of the best veggie pizzas at a restaurant that I’ve had. The charcuterie board was really good to hold us over until we are ready for our entrées. I ordered the linguine pasta with mussels. It was really good only tip I can give is that it was a little too lemony, but everything else about the dish was absolutely amazing. There was just the right amount of muscles on top of the pasta! My other guests had the lamb lollipops which I had a taste of, and it was delicious. Another one got the seafood mac & cheese, and that also was divine. We also had the filet mignon, which I also heard was really good from the other guest. And the tacos were exceptional as well for just a simple dish. It was really good. While we were eating, they did not rush us at all. They kept checking up on us and once we were finished, she came up to us and didn’t rush us to get the check or anything. She just asked if we wanted anything else so we decided to get dessert and we got different slices. I do not remember all of them, but I do remember the red velvet was the best out of all of the slices we got and the apple pie was really good. We also got it with ice cream so it was a little melted ice cream and pastry action going on. While we were eating, I forgot to mention that I believe the owner came up to us and asked us how we found this place and I said well I do reviews for Google and I also do TikTok. So I did get recommended to this place to try it out. The owner was very down to earth and very nice and he was around for most of the time after we got our entrées. Even asked us how everything was. I would like to say I’ve never felt this comfortable in a restaurant before which is exactly his point of making the lounge and restaurant it’s not supposed to be uncomfortable at all. It’s supposed to feel inclusive for everybody. After we finish all our food and after the check was brought to us, our server came up to immediately and said please do not rush. We are here all night if you want water, I’ll bring you water. She said you can just stay and lounge and stay as long as you want. At first, we just thought they were saying that, but we were unbothered by anyone for at least a half an hour after we paid the bill and everything. We were even asked if we wanted any water while we were still there and we played a little bit of chest which was in the restaurant. Overall, I get this place in immediate 10 out of 10!

Came here for my birthday today, The outside appearance had already given me reservations. It looked bleak. I knew this place to be black owned and fairly new, so I put my reservations aside. Once inside, the atmosphere was cozy, definitely not what I was expecting. However, it did look clean. It was more like a bar lounge atmosphere, not a high-class restaurant. A server asked me to pick out my table. It was an old table, but it was the best suited for a party of one. The chair was too low to sit comfortable in consuming a pricey meal. I ordered the house salad and the crab soup for starters, I also ordered a raspberry cosmo. My waitress brought out the soup with the salad, so while I was eating my salad, of course, the soup got cold, I had to ask her send it back, she returned with a new bowl of crab soup, it was notvwhat I was expecting, it was too thick and not a OMG this is awesome taste. Kinda bland, surely nothing to gush over. I had ordered for my main entree, the hand cut ribeye with roasted red mash potatoes and asparagus. The wait time was not bad, The steak was tough, especially for a medium steak. The asparagus was ok and had way too much pepper, and the mashed just looked so non-appealing. I have had bad meals, and was just going to pay for my food and take it home and make it taste better but after speaking with the first owner, I decided to just take it off the bill, I did not like how he said he could not please everyone and he has made a million dollars since he opened. So then the other condescending owner comes over to ask me with the bill, how was I and I told they ruin my birthday meal, his response was how can somebody ruin your day and I replied because you all ruined my birthday meal. He also stated about how much money they are making, and he has never had anyone complain about everything. I told him I was a person who dines out a lot and has traveled extensively and loves food. We're not getting anywhere because he doesn't realize that they ruin my birthday meal. So let me end this long rant with they had the nerve to take everything off the bill except my drink and salad, and my bill came to $38 because they automatically charged 18% tip, my meal was $19 my tip was $13. So I paid them $13 for a bad experience. I love my black people and try to support you, but if you are going to charge $38 for a steak and an extra $6 for onions and mushrooms, that steak better melt in my mouth!

i never really leave reviews but this was pretty bad. decided to take my wife on a date here, we sat down in the “cozy” chairs and felt like kids because the chairs were so low compared to the normal height table. the table felt sticky so idk if they just dont clean them regularly or its just the cheap black paint they used over the wood grain to make it look more modern. i ordered the bourbon burger and my wife ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and we split a caesar salad before our entrees. my burger came out burnt and after the second or third bite (i was pretty hungry) i couldn’t eat it anymore. the wife offered me a bite of her chicken sandwich that she had cut in half and when i took the bun off it was one little nugget of chicken and a whole lot of bread. fries were about as good as burger king. after getting the check with 18% gratuity included i noticed under my burger it said “no pink” (which i was never asked how i wanted the burger cooked). and if i was “burnt” would not have been my response. also on the website it says good atmosphere for families and theres literally people smoking hookah on the outdoor patio so i thought that was odd. and the workers were also just chilling on the couch right next to us the whole time when we were eating which was also odd. overall very disappointing experience after looking at their website instead of the reviews.

Restaurant Review: Inviting Atmosphere with Room for Culinary Refinement I recently visited this highly recommended restaurant with a group of friends, and while the experience had several highlights, there were also areas that could benefit from improvement. From the outset, the service was warm and accommodating. The greeter/server welcomed us with a friendly demeanor and allowed us to choose our seating, which set a positive tone. The ambiance was thoughtfully curated—R&B music created a relaxed vibe, and a large-screen TV broadcasting a tennis match added a lively touch. The restaurant also features an outdoor patio with televisions and heaters, which is both visually appealing and ideal for casual gatherings. Our server, who also managed the bar, handled multiple roles with grace. However, the cleaning solution used on our table had a noticeable scent that detracted slightly from the dining experience. For our main courses, two of us ordered the Imperial Crab-Stuffed Shrimp, served with a choice of two sides. The shrimp itself was flavorful and well-prepared, though the presentation lacked the refinement expected at a fine dining establishment. I selected rice pilaf and asparagus as sides—the rice was overcooked and resembled yellow rice more than a traditional pilaf, while the asparagus was satisfactory but unremarkable. One friend ordered the Lamb Chop Pops and found them to be excellent. We also sampled appetizers, including Salmon Bites and a basket of bread, both of which were enjoyable. The drinks were average—not particularly memorable, but serviceable. We did not order dessert on this visit. Parking was plentiful, which is always a welcome convenience. Overall, the restaurant offers a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. While the food presentation and certain menu items could benefit from refinement, I would return for drinks and appetizers, especially to enjoy the inviting...
