I have dined at this restaurant with my sister for over 7 years because she loves their soup. However, the wait staff is always mean and disrespectful to her. When I come to this restaurant with my son, I'm always greeted and thanked for coming in. Yesterday was my birthday and my other sister who was visiting from the UK, who is very health conscience because she is a cardiac surgical nurse. We wanted to share this delicious soup and the lovely Korean vegetables with her. Our experience here was the worse. The owners wife was not present and there were two Korean ladies as servers. They lacked civility and demonstrated poor service and refused to give my sister a bag for our leftovers. My sister is very polite and hospitable because she has devoted her life to saving others and caring for them to assist them in healing. The behavior of these two ladies was not the ethos of the female owner. I was so offended because I wanted to share a special soup that often heals my soul and the experience brought me to a level of shame and division. Food should bring people together. Instead this evening on my 54th birthday , Almost brought me to tears. I want to apologize to my sister who was visiting. I was very upset and disappointed. I said some things that I was not happy about. Mainly because I was shocked. I always bring my son to this restaurant and we often spent $75-$150 for just he and I. He really enjoys the food and the attention the owner gives to us when we come. I did not like how rude they were to my sister, mainly because of her, I was introduced to this restaurant and she is often treated with dishonor. Please know that your food gives life, don't take away life by being unkind to people who work hard and choose to patronize your restaurant. To spend over $100 for soup for 3 people is a sacrifice especially during the time and season we are in. Be kind to all your guests, especially the ones who have similarities to you and...

It smelled really nice when we drove up, so we decided to go in. We love korean food and haven't been able to find a really exceptional spot here in the springs so we said let's give it a try. So we walk in and this very unfriendly dragon beast of a waitress, seated us. I guess it was 8p.m. but the hours were until 9. She seated us and basically slapped the menus down on the table. We sat there for a good ten minutes before she came back over to take our order. In the mean time a very polite man was seated and asked the skeletor beast of a waitress, what was good on the menu as he had never been there before. She slammed open his menu and with the utmost anger and hatred and with one of her sharp fingers, jabbed at a couple of menu items. As she skulked back to the kitchen, the shocked and bewildered man stood up with a hurt look on his face and left. At that point I was ready to leave myself. But my boyfriend being polite and classy, we just stayed. The food wasn't terrible, however the price certainly did not justify the portions or the abusive cow of a waitress. Who incidentally was as sweet as pie to the patrons of similar decent. I would not recommend this shart hole to my worst enemy. And to the nice man that left in a hurry, and justifiably so, you did not deserve to be treated like that if you read this....

I first went to San Chang House, Korean food, with my ex-husband. He was a teacher at Doherty HS, and taught the owner's Son, English. Well It was my first time, and EVERYTHING was ABSOLUTELY delicious! I made this place our favorite, and my Dad & I are regulars! I also bring many friends & family, and I am confident, because we have eaten there (at least 50 times over many many years!!!) And, each and every time the food was/is AMAZING, the Kalbi is the BEST I have EVER tried, the Bulgogi, Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Japchae, kimchi Pancake, &&&& The MUL MANDU (and gun mandu) are the best I have ever had) fresh, healthy, banchan (side dishes, they ARE the ABSOLUTE BEST, delicious, and since my dad eats all my favorites (lol) they are HONESTLY awesome, they will refill the sides, the service is FANTASTIC, every server (as well as the Owner, and his Son) have been SOOO nice, polite, and the atmosphere is ALWAYS warm welcoming & even the delivery is the best!!! If you like other Korean Restaurants, you HAVE to try this amazing place, you will not be...

Stopped by for lunch today. From other reviews, it seems the owners certainly take pride in their cooking. I ordered their spicy beef soup, Yuk Gae Jang and my wife ordered their Bulgoki lunch set. The taste of the korean side dishes are skillfully balanced (although some may prefer stronger or milder seasoning or flavor), the korean rice was gelatinized and cooked perfectly. My spicy beef soup was served with shredded beef brisket, whisked eggs, sweet potato noodles, rice, and when complimented with the refreshing side dishes, was a very hearty meal regardless in cold or warm weather. I believe the dining area has seen its better days. If you don't mind fancy ambience or seeking a food-plus experience, for the price and food, this is a good mom and pop to try.

I've been a couple times before and it was always on off hours, but today I went and was happy to see the place bustling. I got my food to go and the lovely lady- I wish I caught her name- helped me practice some Korean and was very kind even though I struggled a lot. Overall I love the food- and the way they bundle it up to go is so genius cuz you don't miss out on the awesome side dishes- and I enjoy coming, even though I can't afford to go as often as I'd like! I'm so happy to see the quality has not changed and the people are so friendly! I heard the staff speaking both Korean and English to the customers so it was a bit of fun immersion. Definitely go for bulgogi if you're unsure what to try! It's a big favorite for me. ^-^ ๊ฐ์‚ฌํ•ฉ๋‹ˆ๋‹ค!!!

Wonderful little Korean restaurant tucked into the shopping center. I had a bit of a heart attack at first at the price of the dinner menu, but given the portion sizes and quality of the food I think it is well worth the cost. The staff were incredibly polite, and the restaurant face was clean and aesthetic. This is definitely a sit-down style place though unless you're getting noodle dishes, even if you can order to-go. If I had any particular criticisms, it's that I wish the side dishes were a little larger/more acidic, and that the front of the store had more visibility from the streetside as the place is practically hidden back where it's at.
