The Wing Shop — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Went to food truck on a sarurday night and we ordered 24 wings a large fry 2 waters and a soda. We only got 18 wings our fries and drinks. When we ordered the guy in the truck stated he was the owner. Another employee who was in the truck came out and smoked with us and we told her how our order was messed up and said would make sure its fixed. On the food truck 12 wings are 12.99, 6 was $6.99, fries were $4.99, $2.25 for water and $3 for soda. Our bill before tax should of been 32.47. Our debit card was charged $51 and then another seperate charge $7.88. We called the shop and the owner got on store and said he wasnt in the food truck so that was a lie. I asked to tell me price of each item and he said 12 wings are 16.99, 6 wings are $9.99, fries were $8 and the $3 for drinks. I said thats not the prices listed on your truck. He said hold on ill go look. Your the owner and you dont know your prices? The whole time hes telling me this I was looking at his website and the menu says $13 for dozen and $7 for 6 wings and $4.98 for fries. I asked him why the price is so much higher at the food truck than his shop and he said there is an extra tax! $16 extra tax!? I asked why fries are $4.98 in store but $8 on food truck and he said you get more. Yea right! And he wouldnt even answer what the extra $7.88 charge was for. I went to this business this evening for the first time. I can tell you now, it will not be my last. Finally, Colorado Springs finally has a very good spot for wings. I had the Asian Teryaki flavored full pound and my friend ordered the Buffalo flavor. I have never endorsed any business for their wings, and although there are a few good choices in this city, there are none better than The Wing Shop! Easily located near Austin Bluffs and Academy behind Fazolis. As soon as I walked in the door I was taken the obvious cleanliness of this establishment. The kitchen is within view and it too was spotless. I’m talking about clean as in nothing squished into the corner and crud in the floor is non existent. The service was comfortable and genuine, the beverages consist of Pepsi products which were perfect in the way they were intended, and the food was delicious, meaty, crispy where you want it to be and at a great price. On a final note- I had ti check out the bathroom as my last shot at finding a flaw- denied!! Even the bathroom was clean and orderly. Please do yourself a favor and the next time you’re looking for great wings- give the Wing Shop a chance to earn your endorsement. You will be glad you found this gem! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I’d found something special—the wings here are hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor, they’re a testament to the care and passion put into every dish.
