I've been going to this location for years as it is the closest to my house, and up until this last year or so, I've never really had any significant problems. The staff is USUALLY friendly, but they seem inexperienced or not well trained. On top of that there's only ever one person in the place at any time of the day and it seems there needs to be a minimum of 2 people most of the time.
Specifically the last 3 times I've been in, I've had a problem with my order, with this last time the employee who helped me was blatantly rude. As someone who also works food service, I'm usually pretty forgiving of mistakes or misunderstandings, and I refuse to get outwardly mad at a staff member unless their attitude calls for it.
Tonight's order, there was a mistake with my sandwich and I was given the wrong type of meat (someone else was ordering so they didn't recognize the mistake, and I wasnt there to correct it). So I ended up going back to the store to get it fixed. When I got there and explained that I wanted salami and not pepponi on my sandwich, the guy who helped me was very dismissive about it and clearly didn't actually want to do anything about it. No apologies or anything, and put the blame on the person who ordered. Now I understand that they could have mispoke or he could have misheared but I already went out of my way to get it fixed, the least he could have done is say "sorry about that, do you want me to fix that for you?"
The next thing he did was snidely say, "Well I could just give you some salami." I explained to him that no I'd rather it was remade. The guy eventually agreed to it, but remained rude the entire time. When he was finishing up he was very careless about wrapping up the sandwich and said to me "You know, you're lucky I was here, because if it was my manager or any of my other workers, they wouldn't have done this for you." Which was what really got me because regardless of who was right or wrong, if there's a mistake with someone's food, you should fix it. I wasn't trying to cheat the system, I even offered to give the guy the messed up sandwich back to prove I wasn't trying to get extra food out of him. I didn't want to tell the guy off after he just made me a free sandwich basically, but his behavior certainly called for it.
The time before this experience, the girl who was taking my order was very friendly, but kept trying to talk me into ordering a different sandwich than I wanted "because it's so much cheaper" than what I had originally ordered and each time I declined and said I was okay with paying more she would still try to sell me on the other sandwich. I let it slide because she clearly meant well, but it was still annoying to have my preferences ignored like that.
MY MESSAGE TO MANAGEMENT: If you don't want this location going under, please give employees better training and don't leave them stranded to work all alone at a relatively busy location. It makes you and your store seem unprofessional and coming from someone who works in the food business it makes it look like you're trying to cut corners to save money so more of it goes back into your own pockets, and are taking advantage of our workers in the process. To put it simply, I'm going to be avoiding this location until...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely the worst customer service experience I have had EVER! I ordered on the subway app to be picked up at 11:35 am. I went into the store and walked to the Express pickup. I told the subway customer service at the cash register that I had an order to be picked up at at 11:35 and he stated that it was not ready and that it wouldn't be until the line currently ordering was through. I asked him why since the app stated that at 11:35 it would be picked up when I ordered it at 11:00 and he said that that's just the way it was. He did not even know what my order was because he had to ask what i ordered.
I told him to cancel my order and refund my card. He said he could cancel but that I would have to call corporate to get a refund. When I asked for their number he said he did not know it.
I googled it and called corporate while in the store. While waiting to connect he asked me who I had ordered through, I looked at him puzzled and said "it was the subway app, for subway." While waiting on the phone to talk to a customer service, he began talking to another customer about me and stated that "they don't do that, make other customers wait for online orders." Wait for what, I placed the order 35 minutes ago.
I connected to the customer service rep explained the situation. She tried to call the restaurant and each of the three team members looked at the phone while it was ringing and ignored it. The customer service rep stated that she would file a complaint with the owner and gave me a refund. I asked her to have the owner contact me about the situation. I doubt it will happen.
I would highly suggest to anyone and everyone to stay away from this store. The level of disrespect and ignorance in this situation just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis location is horrible. It seems every employee is rude and the customers are a bother to them. In this location, there are a couple promotion signs to sign up for the text message rewards program. So I signed up for it, received my first text reward and went in to use it. At the register, the employee became extremely rude and said they do not accept the rewards because it is a franchise instead of corporate. I pointed out that I donāt care what type of subway location they are, there is advertisement for the text rewards, even pointing to the promotion sign. He then spat back that he does not care what I have to say, he will not honor the reward coupon. And he didnāt even offer to give me any kind of discount for the rudeness and confusion. I have never been treated in such a way by an employee of a business who was actually in the wrong. The store is promoting stuff they refuse to offer and when called out on it, they immediately blame the customer. I will not be going back to this...
