Those of you who follow me know I always leave honest and detailed reviews. After some early morning pickleball, a few friends and I decided to try something new for breakfast. Since I absolutely adore crepes, this place—with 391 five-star reviews—seemed perfect. What could go wrong, right?
When we arrived, the atmosphere was beautiful—cute little Eiffel Towers and flowers on the tables, a cozy café-style patio out front, and a calm, peaceful interior.
We stood in line to order, and I was impressed with the variety of crepes available. The one menu board is hard to read where it’s placed, but that’s manageable. I ordered a savory crepe with eggs, ground beef (since I don’t eat pork), cheese, and no sauce. Prices were about average, but I personally dislike being prompted for a tip before I’ve received any service—especially when ordering at a counter, fast-food style.
While waiting, I took in the décor again—still no complaints there.
Unfortunately, the food was another story. My friends found their crepes completely bland. Mine had eggs and cheese that tasted like nothing at all, while the beef was so heavily spiced it felt like it was masking spoilage. The result? Indigestion that lasted for days.
We honestly can’t understand how this restaurant has 391 perfect reviews. None of us enjoyed our meals, and it seems unlikely that four people could all have such tasteless food while every other customer supposedly had an incredible experience. Reviews should reflect the quality of the food and service—not how nice the owner is or how much you want to support the business.
Maybe we caught them on an off day, but on a bustling Saturday, that seems unlikely. Sadly, this place just didn’t live up...
Read moreEgg, spinach, and olive crepe for breakfast was pretty good. I make crepes at home and have had crepes numerous times in my life but this one stands out as very smooth batter, no bubbles (holes) in the crepe at all. Smooth like a pancake. Decently thick to hold the filling and not falling apart. I like it a lot. May come back for more some day even though it's a bit far from home. Service was a bit slow. 2 men making crepe in the kitchen. 1 woman and 2 teens working the coffee and cashier and cleaning tables. It took 30 minutes for my order to come when about 70% of the tables already had food. There was a bit confusion w one table order (both tables got #9) and some back and forth between the lady and one of the men in kitchen. But I understand as I've done restaurant before. Small startup family business, always hectic and challenging at the beginning. Please come and support them as they keep improving and making things better, I'm sure. 9 tables on a Saturday were all full. I had to take food to go. Coco latte was really good. While waiting for my food, I saw a man who kept coming up for coffee refill, twice. Lady behind counter said "You must really like my coffee. It's good bc it's Ethiopian". I myself is not a black- coffee drinker, only do latte. And this is good, not a bit bitter and has burning smell like Starbucks. Not too sweet, not too bland. Just right on...
Read moreWriting this review while eating because this place is phenomenal! Wonderful service, the owner is lovely and truly cares about her food. The place is spotless, nicely laid out, with good quality ceiling speakers that play at a comfortable volume, comfortable soft lighting, with excellent service that's also quick. Food is incredibly fresh. Menu is simple but diverse enough to have a different experience each time. Something for everyone.
The /entire/ menu can be made gluten free except for the graham crackers. The owner and staff is well versed in celiac food safety, mention you're celiac and you'll be in excellent hands!
As someone on the spectrum, this place is incredibly comfortable to sit and eat in. You can easily have a conversation or eat by yourself without getting overstimulated. It's easy to get a simple customizable meal. There's no surprise ingredients and not judgement for modifications. Honestly I'm adding this to a regular safe spot list!
Definitely coming back and recommending here to...
