Sweet Peak — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I wanted to love this place. I had bubble waffles in Yellowstone and haven’t been able to find them in COS until Sweet Peaks. There are a few problems that keep me from coming back. I ordered the strawberry Nutella bubble waffle and unfortunately it’s an upcharge for ice cream. This is an issue because without the ice cream the waffle is bland. What made it even more bland was that my Nutella and strawberry waffle came with no Nutella. I was going to speak with the worker about it but they were slammed and only two people were behind the counter. The prices are really high as well. I can’t see myself paying $10 again for a waffle, whipped cream, and strawberries. My husband got the funky monkey but thought it was bland until he got to the ice cream and peanut butter. My favorite thing here is chocolate lovers bubble waffle. When you walk in from the cold the smell of bubble waffles being made is the most comforting thing ever. Also the staff is really friendly and I have never had to wait longer than 10 mins - understandable since they make the bubble waffles, bingsu, etc. from scratch and that takes time. If you want something to take 5 mins go to McDonald’s. If you want something cheap get it at the store and make it yourself. I saw some lady complain that 3 bubble waffles for her kids was $30 - yeah $10 per bubble waffle sounds about right. We had a great experience at Sweet Peak Boba! My daughter got the cookies and cream ice cream, and it was delicious. She only ordered one scoop, but it was huge—definitely a great value. My wife ordered a boba tea with tapioca pearls and really enjoyed it. She was curious if they offer other types of boba too.

I tried the cheesecake waffle dessert, and it was amazing. The waffle was soft on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the outside—absolutely perfect.
