Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

My sister and I rolled up to this location at only 9:30 PM. They didn’t have to close until 11 PM, so I was quite shocked and confused why as soon as we rolled up we weren’t met with smiles or good customer service - we were treated as though they were annoyed that we pulled up. As soon as the window was opened it was all frowns and sarcasm. My sister asked the barista if she could have a dulce de leche coffee and if it already came with espresso, girl said “it’s coffee, it doesn’t come with espresso, it’s coffee grains blended up….” but she didn’t offer to add a shot of espresso when those modifications can be done to any drink at Dutch … she was acting like you can’t add espresso being smart & funny for no reason. Disrespectful. Then, after that she made our drinks so liquidy we asked for blended freezes and when we pulled off, staff was laughing in the back. I dont appreciate being asked to tip before I have recieved my item. Ill only pay in cash from now on because of this. I understand the time efficiency. Ive tested it, because I order here often, my drink quality is significantly less quality when I choose a lower tip. Mind you, I tip lower when I literally drive up to the window and take my order. Dutch Bros needs to just pay their employees properly and stop putting it on the customer to supplement through tips, its not my responsibility to decide their pay. A tip is meant to be a gracious extra, not a requirement for good service and quality drink. The tactics that you have taught your employees is unethical and shows true corporate greed, raise the price of your drinks if you need but tipping before the end of your experience is a sneaky tactic preying on your customers kindness...

I wanted to like this store since other locations I have been to were great. I hope my low review is due to them being new. I drove up around 9:30 PM with one other car in front of me. I could see at least 2 workers inside constantly leaning out the window and smiling and laughing with the people in the car in front. After 10 minutes of just sitting there watching nothing but what I can only assume was flirting with the people in front of me, I just ended up leaving. I can't review anything other than the waste of time I spent here.
