The Parkway Tavern — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Ordered drinks and an appetizer. First off, apparently the chef left after we sat down and ordered. It didn’t seem like the end of a shift, it seemed like drama but who knows. The kitchen was then closed without notice. It was a Saturday night and it would have been nice to be warned there wouldn’t be food besides the appetizer we ordered, whatsoever. The staff didn’t seem to care much when they told us.

We then didn’t see our waitress comeback to our table for approximately 30 minutes (no joke! What the heck!) but she was stopping at all the other tables. We had to go hunt someone down to get our check. Upon inspection, they double charged all the drinks/appetizers for us, so it was incorrect. This is where it gets sketchy. They had asked for my card to “start a tab” but apparently had already ran it for the incorrect tab amount before asking me to check it. What the actual heck?! Days later it’s still pending in my account and now I’m without $$ that wasn’t yours.

To the owners: your time will be short lived here if you don’t start taking better care of your customers. Communicate better, check on them more often (30 minutes wondering where our waitress is at isn’t acceptable) and for heavens sake, don’t bill them before the tab is verified. That’s shady and not convenient to your customers. Do better. Your team needs training. Be...

We thought this would be a cool place to eat after an event, and get away from the fast food. It was just 8:30pm, they say they close at 2a. We walked in and 3 girls were squatting on barstools at the bar area, bouncing up and down or twerking weird or something, obviously very drunk, screaming about something. It seemed happy, but still crazy. As we stepped in a few feet, one fell backwards off her seat and hit the ground. That caught my attention. I was watching to see if she was okay, which she said she was, when her friend started yelling at our party, stop looking at her! Obviously, they had been over-served, she was very aggressive, saying get out of here. We did not leave but continued to the restaurant seating area. We sat. Those girls just continued on at the bar with other patrons who were acting much more normal while drinking. A nice lady came over and gave us menus then walked away, but no one came back to check on us again, not even to bring us water or soda. After checking my watch at 20 mins, and no one offering to sell us food/drink, we just got up and left. The bar area was still very rowdy, I just ignored it. The bartender called last call, I bought a double, and not even 10 minutes later, the bartender grabs my drink and pours it out. Didn’t give me the option to drink it. Just grabs it, tells me they have to close down, pours it out. My drink was full… I didn’t even get the option to drink it.

To top this off. Some random guy goes behind the bar with a mic and starts shouting to everyone to close tabs and tip bar tenders.

To be fair, I get it, it’s closing time, but why would you call last call, I buy a drink, you then take my drink I JUST BOUGHT and pour it out with no alternative…
