This was my 2nd time to Zesty Thai. The 1st time was many months ago and we were under impressed. After seeing such good reviews I revisited, and yet again was disappointed. There were many gaps and missed details in the restaurant operations. For example tables should not be numbered visibly, it is an internal restaurant's function; externally, it adds no value to patrons and it spoil the ambience, if any. The plating of my appetizer was sloppy and lacked finess. Visually, unappetizing. Hiring young workers or any workers per se helps our community, and they deserved to be trained, especially for a table service establishment. Service should be clearly seen and distinctly felt. I can see our waitress were friendly and trying their best (Kudos), but there were arkward moments and disconnectedness thoughout. One of those, wait staff should be informed by kitchen staff what menu were out of order, so they can advise customers before ordering, not after. It was a let down. And when you asked customers how was the food and being told it was only OK, asking follow up questions why it was so, or tell the restaurant's owner immediately before bringing out the bill would be great, or why bother asking? The flavor of the food was acceptable and quite on target, I didn't feel it was exceptional. The customer behind our table asked for chili and was told there will be additional charge, but this was provided in other restaurants. Being charged for a small cup of thai chili in a Thai restaurant is like being charged for ketchup for a burger place. Hopefully they can emerge stronger and better.

Chef Ingrid has impressed me beyond words. Her food is authentic and meticulously prepared, but on top of that, there is a genuine joy that exudes from her when she puts a dish in front of you. She remembers your order and knows how to deliver an unforgettable guest experience. I'm telling you, this food puts the Broadmoor to shame! She only uses the freshest ingredients available, so look forward to an ever-evolving menu with new and adventurous items to try throughout the year. As if the food wasn't an absolute sell by itself, Chef Ingrid's sense of humor is one-of-a-kind! When my husband and her disagreed on some "favorite foods," she swiftly scolded him not to, "Yuck my yums," and we are still laughing about that! We recently enjoyed a private dinner at Zesty Thai and really enjoyed the intimate experience. Talking with Chef Ingrid and her husband, Adam, throughout the evening was just as enjoyable as the food. We felt like we had been invited right into their home. Each dish was beautifully presented and accompanied by a description. I believe it's safe to say that it was one of the most memorable dinners I've eaten. Thank you, Chef Ingrid and Adam for an absolutely fantastic time and for sharing your stories with us of how you met, your culinary journey, and of course, the jokes! We will be back for that "soup special" ;)

I have been wanting to try Zesty Thai since it has opened and finally got a chance to partake in it. The location is now becoming a nice little foodie place with Mexican, macaroni cheese, Japanese and thai food all really close and all featuring new little restaurants. First off, everyone was really friendly. We had reservations, so walked right into our spot, however, it took quite some time to get water and we didn't get our silverware until after the food was served, which was the difference between four and five stars for me. The food itself was really good. I ordered the pineapple fried rice and my wife got the pad thai. We then each split our meals so we could try both dishes. I had to order extra spice on the side. We also got coconut shimp and won tons. I really liked the coconut shrimp. Finally we ordered the steamed veggies. I was somewhat disappointed with the veggies as they really didn't have much flavor. The pineapple fried rice was loaded with big chunks of pineapple. That makes me so happy. The pad thai lacked a little bit of sauce, but the sauce that it did have was delicious. The won tons were good, they fried them really well. I will definitely visit Zesty Thai again.

This is my wife and I's favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. We have been here often in person and also had food delivered. We have never had a bad experience. The chef is delightful and knowledgeable. It is evident that she cares about her food. The host, who is her husband, is wonderful as well. Every server we've worked with has also been very pleasant. We've introduced several friends to this restaurant who now have also become regulars.

The food is outstanding. I have noticed, too, that I feel different leaving this restaurant as compared to many others. This is because she uses fresh food, avoids additional additives, does not overuse salt, and does not use MSG. This is very important to me! Most Asian food places in Colorado Springs are Americanized by adding sugar and either too much salt or MSG. However, Zesty's does not do this. The flavor is great and to me seems much more authentic. When I say it seems more authentic, I should acknowledge that I have never been to Thailand. However, I have spent quite a bit of time in Southeast Asia and have lived in cities much of my life where you could find more authentic ethnic food. Not having the Americanized taste and being more consistent with the food I have had in Southeast Asia is part of why I view it as more authentic. The chef mentioned that her family has owned restaurants in Thailand, so it is not surprising that this is different than other Thai restaurants.

We will remain regular, loyal patrons of Zesty Thai! We also love bringing friends here because we know they will have a...

I have never eaten Thai food before. I don't like sweet foods such as rice and chicken. The curry chicken with sweet I call back to see what it is that I can do to take the sweetness out. The young lady jump to conclusion thinking that I wanted a refund I never asked restaurants for refund because I know that that is wasted food. I was calling to see what can I do to get the sweetness out of it and she just jumped to all types of conclusions saying that she was not going to give me a refund in which something I never asked her for. So therefore I give this rating of 0 because it was nasty taste like she put sugar in my food. RESPONDING TO THE OWNER..I never said that she was rude. I never said that I wasn't coming back. As a business person, I will have never told a customer that is trying new cuisine to stick to what she is use to eating. ( This is just as worse as saying "you people".) Your employee was the rude one, not me. For the police to be called on someone that had already left the establishment and had not sampled the food and already returned to where I was.It is good to know that you would go to the edge of the world to protect this untruthful employee . Trust and believe that I will not be the last to make a complaint on her. I hope that she doesn't cause you to lose business and talk to other customers the way that she did me. I wish you the very best...
