I come here a fair amount so my feedback isnāt based on a single experience. The food is good and the environment is beautiful and welcoming. But the service is subpar at best. I work here often because itās nearby. But I regularly have a hard time finding a clean place to sit, even if the occupancy is almost none. Today when I was there, 3/5 tables next to me were super dirty and the entire counter top in the middle was covered in crumbs for 5/6 hours I was working. I regularly pick up drive through orders and something is missing. Last time I was here, my aƧaĆ bowl was made incorrectly. Another time I was standing in the building, waiting on my take out order with multiple drinks. And instead of the person who was making them waiting until they were all made and giving them to me in a drink carrier, I was handed one at a time, until I didnāt have capacity to hold any more. The worker didnāt even realize how full my hands were, until I asked him for a drink carrier. Today when I was there, I ordered twice. First was a coffee, later in the day was food. Both times, I waited in line for an extended period of time. Not because anyone was in line in front of me, I was the first and only person waiting. But because the workers were in the back, not paying attention. After five minutes, someone finally came out and I was able to order my coffee. But there was no awareness on their behalf that I had been standing there or no apology offered for making me wait. It was annoying, as I was trying to get back to work, but 5 minutes isnāt the end of the world. The second time I was ordering, I again stood there as the first and only person in line. But this time I stood there for 10 minutes. I eventually said āhello?ā Trying to get the attention of a worker, but that didnāt work. Then I called the store, thinking surely the ringing phone would get someoneās attention. But even that didnāt work. Five minutes later, other customers came in and the sound of their chatter is what finally peaked the attention of the worker. This could easily be resolved with attentive workers, or at a minimum, a bell on the door. As kind as Iām sure the staff is, it doesnāt seem like anyone wants to take ownership of their job by ensuring the place is well kept and customers are receiving good service. Iāll counter to come because itās close and one of the healthier food options. But all the little things add up and do become annoying. Especially for how much it costs to eat here, it sure would be nice if there was better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood is OK - my wife purchased the smoked salmon toast and a cafe au lait and I went with the Greek toast and blue mystique smoothie. The hummus on the Greek was far too liquidy and the toppings, while looked appealing didn't deliver much flavor. My smoothie was smaller than I'd expect for $9 and was both watery and didn't taste like much. My wife's salmon toast was decent, good salmon but the cream cheese was subpar and the coffee was very mediocre. On both of our toasts, the toast itself was soon waterlogged as the spreads (hummus and cream cheese respectively) were too liquidy and hence, both dishes quickly became unappetizing. For a $44 breakfast it was laughably bad - don't waste your money for this reason alone.
Customer service was not impressive - the three kids working there were far more interested in flirting with one another and playing around rather than dealing with customers. We were served promptly enough but I noticed a number of customers who were forced to wait as the kids screwed around. No offer to bus the tables (even though they had nothing else to do but muck about) and I never once saw them wipe down anything.
We only tried it as Loyal Coffee in the same shopping center (a long time favorite of ours) was overcrowded - what a mistake. The quality of food, drink and customer service is painfully apparent between these two shops - it's no wonder why Loyal is always busy and this place had no customers. Again, save your money and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFound this awesome little gem on the way home from Denver. After being on the road for 10 days, we were craving something healthier for the final stretch home. A google search for acai berry bowls led me about 5 minutes off I-25 to this spot. Everything here is fresh made and very nutritious. Although I regret not trying one of the amazing and colorful toast or juice options after I saw some coming out of the kitchen, the bowls were outstanding! We ordered a DragonBerry bowl which contained: Pitaya (Dragon Fruit), mango, strawberry, agave, coconut water and was topped with strawberry, kiwi, goji berries, coconut and granola. We also ordered the OG Acai bowl which contained: Acai, blueberry, banana, strawberry, apple juice and was topped with granola, banana, cacao nibs, strawberries, blueberries and honey. The colors of our bowls really popped really made us excited to dive into our first bite. Every bite was glorious and left me sad that this is about 3 hours from our home. One of these would do exceptionally well in Los Alamos NM or Santa Fe NM, just saying! haha. My only complaint is there is only 1 size option for coffees, which is small. I would like to see more size options the next...
