Willies a Neighborhood Bar — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I came here to sing Karaoke. They offer customers complementary pretzels and peanuts which I appreciate, I can't think of another bar I've been to that does that! Service++ Very friendly bartenders. They sell pizza but I haven't tried any. They have pool and darts & they even have a dart team. The owners are usually there and are fabulous singers. The KJ Hawk is just such a ray of light, I bet he could turn any frown upside down! Artists musicians and community do-gooders hang out here, very welcoming environment. Located back within the shopping center, ample parking, extremely small consistatly clean restrooms. I bring a sweater, sometimes it feels chilly inside there to me. The only reason I did not rate them five stars is that they proudly promote discrimination, which is quite shocking when you meet the owners. In my opinion a "We can refuse service to anyone, at anytime, for any reason" sign is sufficient. Displaying refusal of service to one group or category of individuals is predidicial and I beleive this bar and group of people can do better, should do better than that for their establishment and our community. That being said this place reminds me of "Cheers" great neighborhood bar. I highly recommend them I'm sure most people could find enjoyment here. I am unsure of how the actual establishment is, and that might change in the future. My review is based on living in the neighborhood of Willie’s. They consistently have people screaming in the parking lot for long periods of time after hours, and as of recently they have had a car constantly blaring music through his subwoofers causing me to call them to ask for them to get them to stop. They argued with me about how it wasn’t there patron, like of course he isn’t yet, he is still in his car. I shouldn’t have to argue to get you to have someone follow noise ordinance laws. I am not asking for absolute silence, but even the slightest bit of effort would be great. If you’d like to have a manager call me to figure things out, I can either call in and leave my name and number or whatever you’d like. At the end of the day, there should not be an argument over a simple request of asking someone to turn their subs down, and possibly making a notice for future patrons that this is unacceptable. Stopped in there for a beer we go to plenty of bars and we haven’t ever had an issue with bringing the little one with. I basically came in to get a beer trying to check the place out and the lady behind the bar said is there really a baby in the bar and she wasn’t super rude about it, but I still didn’t feel comfortable and so I left. But when I called asked for a manager, she wouldn’t give me the manager and then it started to get pretty Upsetting when she got to being really loud on the phone towards me and rude towards me and said that there’s audio and video recording and basically was trying to defend herself very meanly and I was not trying to be mean in any way shape or form. This is not a family, friendly environment or place. we will definitely not be coming back, but I thought ppl should know in case they were trying to bring any kids. I just think it was out of control the way she reacted and no one was mean to her or rude to her in anyway. I’m completely baffled at the response that we got just trying to check...
