My wife and I had lunch here today and overall the experience was good. One lady (Pam) seemed to running everything for a bit. She was tending bar, making fantastic 5/5 cocktails, taking orders, running food, and keeping up with little requests by a fairly dense crowd of guests, a knife here, a refill there. I mean you literally couldn’t ask more of an employee than she was doing, we even saw her wiping something at the bar down in a rare seemingly spare moment she had. I hope ya’ll are paying her enough to keep her around, she’s amazing.
The worst I have to ding them on, our food died in the window particularly my fries. Something got forgotten from the order and we could see Pam correcting it after a bit of discussion with the back of house fellow, who seemed upset or maybe annoyed about fixing the order. Our food sat there while another employee appeared from the other side (first we’d seen her) and touched all our food for some reason, then walked away. We saw her pouring a foamy beer twice soon after so, we’re fairly certain she was working the other side. That’s not a retaliatory comment, that’s literally what happened check the cameras, she needs beer re-training. Pam can show her, hers were perfect each time.
The fries were just inexcusable and cold, 2/3 seemed to have been fried twice, were hollow inside and over salted as if done twice, while 1/3 were strangely undercooked and limp with almost no salt. 🤷♂️
Which is sad because my wife’s sweet potato fries while lukewarm, were absolutely delicious. Had they been a bit warmer, 5/5 dish, love the sauce they’re tossed in. The tacos were also quite delicious, the sauce they put on the side there was wonderful too. The place has great recipes though the menu seems rather large to maintain. Food costs have to be higher than usual here, I would seriously consider trimming 15-20 of the least sold items to give the kitchen staff and the owner’s wallet a break.
It was very clean for a place only a bit younger than myself, if worn from the large patronage they seemed to have maintained for so long. Quite an accomplishment, 4/5. They say us fickle patrons typically expect a bar to do major updates every 7 years or so to keep it from looking too worn.
All in all, I suspect they probably deliver a 4/5 to 5/5 experience on average and we will try Frankie’s again. I only hope the owner finds this analysis useful to diagnose any issues / target re-training, and I look forward to updating this review.
🤔 And maybe give Pam a raise, you don’t wanna loose her...
Read moreFrankie's use to be a cool affordable , friendly spot to go. My husband have been going to Frankie's sense moving to the area in 2015. They use to have a kicka** bar tender named Drew, along with an exceptional wait staff. Recently it has become horrible, food for what it is is expensive ...3 burgers, chips w/ dip 6 drinks cost us almost 100. 😩 especially when 2 weeks earlier it was under 70. Wait staff not friendly at all,but if you are a man it's all smiles and giggles. Place calls its the "Country Club off Powers"... interior not clean, always wobbly tables and chairs, no air conditioning feels like a sweat box, my foot almost went through the bar where you put your feet. If you're looking for a cool place , DON'T GO TO FRANKIE'S!
It's sad the place use to be cool.
Now we go to...
Read moreWe went in for a middle of the day lunch. And regret going in first the soda had a weird taste we tryed different type and all no good so just got a water instead which was OK. Then when we ordered we ask for the wings to be well done and Krispy and when they came out they where under cooked bad we asked if they can recook them for longer and they said no. Then the waiter brings what supposed to be the cook and he says there is a bunch of other places where you can get your food at. And that he don't care if we leave. And he Mumbled something as walking away. You can tell he don't care about the food or the customers so you know the food is bad. The sad part is that they where not busy only like 4 groups in there at the most we will not ever be...
