Waffle House — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

This is our go to waffle house we go their more than we should. Last night we went 9/27 and they were a lil more busy than normal but when we walked in we didnt get greeted so we sat wherever. Started looking at the menu 5 min after we sat another couple walked in. Were at about 10 minutes now. One of the servers looked at me from afar a said ill be right with you. Now were at about 20 minutes still no drinks or anything. The couple that came in after us is now getting their order taken and looks at us after she takes their order and says ill be right with you guys... Alright now im getting a bit frustrated so about 45 minutes later the other waitress says have you served table 21 she said yes she says what about table 22? Which is our table she looks at us and goes oh no didnt even know they were their. Wow okay. So the other lady finally comes over and serves us. We wait about 10 minutes for our food 2 of the exact same thing. And when we finally after about an hour of waiting get our food. The bread on both sandwichs was burnt and the cheese on our hashbrowns wasnt even close to melted.. $24 for that was annoying but at that bout it was already almost 8pm when we got their at about 615pm i was just annoyed and wanted too go home.. I normally tip the waitress but last night i refused too do so. I understand being busy or what not but they were not that busy for them to leave us for about 45 minutes waiting to even order and we didnt even get drinks untel about 2 minutes before we got our food. "I always enjoy my visits to Waffle House, and my latest trip was no exception. The highlight was definitely the waffle I ordered; I requested it crispy, and it was delivered perfectly to my liking. The food here never disappoints, especially the golden brown, crispy crust of my waffle that night. The person behind the grits did an outstanding job too, ensuring there wasn’t a single lump in sight.

However, I did encounter a minor hiccup with the customer service. When I ordered my meal to go, my drinks were initially forgotten, and I had to remind the staff just as I was about to leave. Similarly, I wasn’t provided with any syrup for my waffles. Fortunately, I prefer using my own maple syrup at home, which pairs beautifully with their waffles, so it wasn't a big issue for me. Despite these oversights, the staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which I greatly appreciated. It seemed like it was just an off night for him, and we all have those from time to time, right? Lol.

Overall, I’d still highly recommend Waffle House. Their hash brown bowls are a must-try; I usually go for them with eggs over easy, cheese, and bacon. If you’re ever unsure of what to order, you can’t go wrong with one of these options—or maybe even all...

My bf and I decided to grab an early breakfast meal here at the Waffle House. I had ordered (3) All- American meals which comes with (1) choice of meat, eggs, grained side, toast, and a waffle. I ordered all (3) with sausage, I requested their scrambled cheesy eggs for again all (3) meals but was given over easy eggs, I requested (1) meal to come with hash browns the other (2) grits but was given (2) with hasbrowns and (1) with grits instead. And all (3) waffles were included. (1) Lg. Coffee to go. My total order came up to around $36. And some change. We had our meal delivered. My bf is a huge waffle house go-er. I on the other hand only go if he is buying.😉 our meals were good despite the wrong items provided. Since we had very little timing to actually enjoy our meal together we mutually chose not to complaint. This, is not a normal response on an normal given day. I am pretty sure it was my fault, because I can at times talk very lightly and am hard to hear. So i am sure this might have been the case for our order getting mixed around.
