What a nice gem! Ended up here to listen to the band Counter Point. Awesome ol' school R&B band. And it was Bike Night too! A lot of great people here and some nice bikes in the lot. The food was so good! We got egg rolls, wontons, thai fried rice and a burger. The thai food was very flavorful and didn't feel overwhelming. The burger was cooked perfectly. Very good value, and prices very reasonable. Has a patio with a wonderful view of downtown Denver at a distance. A couple pool tables to shoot pool. The bartenders were very attentive, considering how busy it was tonight. We'll definitely be back!

I have visited this restaurant several times and have truly enjoyed the variety of foods that are on their menu. it's not your typical burger joint they have some authentic dishes, friendly and attentive staff, Mahi is kind and wonderful. The restaurant sits on top of a hill so you have a great view of downtown skyline the patio in on the balcony so if it's warm weather it great to sit outside. Appetizers are too die for. Gotta try their Buffalo chicken wing, monte cristo sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, or their taco salad. A great place to have dinner and conversation

Found this bar and grill along Washington Street on a Saturday and decided to stop in. It sits on a bit of a hill so one can get a view of downtown Denver. The food is typical fare for a bar and grill - burgers, wings, and deep fried items like cheese sticks and onion rings. The chicken wings are different; they're cooked but not crispy or juicy on the inside, and they come naked with sides of sauce (i.e., not tossed in the sauce). Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. A good-sized parking lot and patio seats if the weather is nice outside.

We’ve been coming to Jays forever, but NEVER AGAIN! The cops were called on us for “dine and dash”, funny thing is we didn’t dine or dash. Seven of us went to jays on Saturday night 8/18/18 to get some dinner and watch the Broncos, showed up around 7:05pm. A young guy greeted us and immediately said they had 3 big parties already seated in the main area so he seated us at the tables down from the entrance, he took our drink order and told us they changed ownership, he was one of the “new managers” and the food was all made from scratch. He messed up our drink order (wrong beer, flat soda, forgot water) and when we asked if he could put the Bronco game on, he showed me his phone and said it wasn’t on TV. We finally convinced him it was, so he reluctantly turned it on, and we never saw him again until we left. A young waitress showed up to take our food order and once she left, we never saw her again either until we left. Over 35 minutes had passed before I finally went to find out why nobody had come by to check on us, refill our drinks or bring our food. We had enough, I left $10 to pay for the drinks and we started to leave. We were in the parking lot deciding where to go next because we were starving, when some woman (assuming the real manager or owner) started looking at us through the window then started yelling about calling the cops for dine and dash. We were so frustrated with the whole unprofessional process that we left before any food was even brought to the table. The young “manager” fella was a total liar. There were no other large parties in the restaurant, in fact there was only one other party close to where we were and another group outside. He had an attitude with us from the beginning, because we weren’t impressed with his lofty job title. The woman that randomly appeared and was belligerent and screaming obscenities that would make a sailor blush had no facts, just reacted to what the young guy told her about “dine and dash”. So we waited for the police, told them what really happened, showed them the video and they politely said we could go. This place is an absolute joke, the restroom was disgusting, the place was empty on a Saturday night, that should tell you all you need to know. I’m positive they will be out of business within 6 months or less based our experience alone. Do yourself a favor, save your money and frustration, NEVER GO TO JAYS...

I had recently been craving the ribs and homemade potato chips so hubby and I went this past weekend. Much to my shock...the ribs were no longer on the menu...and neither were the chips! I was really bummed! The menu has totally changed and our very pleasant and helpful server explained to us that the restaurant was recently sold...and there would be a lot of changes down the road. He told us the food is prepared fresh to order using high quality foods. Hubby chose to make his own burger and was VERY pleased with the size of the burger and how it was prepared, along with the portion size of the fries that accompanied the burger. It was hard for me to decide what I wanted...the buffalo ribs with blueberry BBQ sauce sounded very intriguing...as did the pot pie (which I saw come out of the kitchen and it's huge!). I eventually opted for the 3 pc hand battered cod fish fry, being a Wisconsin native and always on the search for a GOOD fish fry to take me back home. I was definitely NOT disappointed. The fish is freshly battered and cooked as ordered, tender and flaky, served with a huge portion of very tasty fries and a side of creamy coleslaw. Only thing missing to make it a true 'fish fry' was a slice of buttered marble rye bread. It was delicious. They do have a Friday special fish fry with 2 pieces of fish for $8 so it will definitely be on our list of Friday night places to eat. We had eaten at Jay's many, many times in the past as our daughter was a server there awhile back. The overall quality of the food as well as the service had really declined. I'm happy to say I am looking forward to returning in the future to see what other creative dishes they come up with. Although the prices are a tad higher than they used to be, it's obvious the quality is better. You really do get what you pay for. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. And if something isn't to your liking, don't be afraid to let them know...they can fix what they don't...

I applied for a job a couple months ago and did a "working interview". The managers were amazing and seemed to want whats best for there business and MOST of the staff was very welcoming. The person I was "shadowing" was extremely demeaning the entire time and let the customers know just how "ignorant" I was. I have been a server for 10yrs and know how to adapt to a different restaurant so trust me when I say I was trying to take in every piece of information as I could throughout my day. The lady asked me if I felt comfortable enough to take a table on my own and let her just watch, I was more then happy with this. I got the drink order and came back to take the food order, as I was writing down what they wanted she rudely SHOVED me away from the table in front of the customers, who looked horrified, and took over taking there order. While at the waitress stand she asked why I was being passive aggressive?! WHAT? Then proceeded to tell me that any money I help HER earn that day would reflect exactly how stupid I obviously was because I was so slow.... now mind you she only wanted me to shadow her so I wasn't allowed to do anything that would reflect my many years of experience as a server. I had had enough of being embarrassed in front of customers and chose to walk out but was stopped by the assistant manager who wanted me to talk to the manager. After sitting there for 20 mins I was told he was busy and would call me that same day so I could explain to him what had happened. 2 months later and still no call! Never will me or my family ever give this establishment our business based on how poorly I was treated and how irrelevant it must've been for the manager to allow his employees to treat people infront of...
