This spot use to be way better before they got on the social media Denver food influencer. They use to have more variety and higher quality options for it being a dollar scoop chinese takeout spot.
I don’t understand how they get more popular and the quality went down.
The pic I’m sharing was a very small portion to what they use to give.
They use to have better chicken fried rice. Now it’s barely any chicken in it.
The wontons are good but the egg rolls use to be way better and fuller now all dried out.
They use to have 2 chicken options of jalapeño chicken, dark meat and breast meat.
The portions use to have the boxes barely able to close. Now it’s kinda on par with Panda Express serving size.
Also the beef in the beefNbrocoli has diminished. The sesame and orange chicken are over breaded and way too much sauce now.
The low mein is still great.
The volcano chicken for some reason is always dry now.
This place is a good value still and way better than homei and scoop scoop spots around town.
I’ll try it again but I think it’s better to call in and ask for a fresh made order and possibly larger item and just get some...
Read moreYes it is your typical cheap pay per scoop Chinese restaurant. I don't pay a premium for Chinese food cause it all tastes the same, so for all you Panda Express and PF Chang goers, "SUCKERS".
I stopped by after visiting the Disc Golf store next door. Not a single regret. I know the lo mien noodles are probably not hand made, but there's a nice chew to them like hand made noodles. Paired very nicely with the volcano chicken, assuming you are into spice.
Sesame chicken and broccoli with beef were spot on. The broccoli had a nice texture, didn't taste soggy and reheated. Sesame chicken was good, not overly sweet. Wasn't the best I've ever had, but still good.
IMO, for all the cheap Chinese scoop restaurants along Washington, this one takes the cake. Really a good place to grab food and go. There was only one small table...
Read moreIt's not bad, the sesame chicken was actual chicken inside not like the dough balls that most dollar scoops offer, the portion on the combo was not very good like 5 pieces of sesame, kungpao veggies were crispy and fresh but once again it only had two chunks of chicken. Lo mein wasn't bad. Got hot n sour soup... That I don't recommend it's very plain just egg and broth and maybe one pre shred carrot slice and they don't offer crispy noodles to purchase with it. Broth flavor was good but not enough to get again for me... It was also like Luke warm I had to microwave it at home. Maybe just a fluke when we went with bad portions and stuff but I wasn't like super impressed like most the reviews are saying :/ I'd probably try again and see if maybe it was just the time I went. Price is ok though and we did like...
