I really thought that I had tried and found the best calzone on the planet. The former title being Mama Olivia's. But Macciano's Pizzeria, hands down HAS THE BEST Tasting, most perfectly crafted Calzone on Planet Earth! They SELECT the finest quality cheese, they have absolutely perfected their Dough recipe!! They put Ricotta cheese in a calzone! They absolutely know every single secret to Grade A Italian Cuisine! I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THE FLAVOR THIS CALZONE HAD! Seriously, #1 in Colorado for sure! But if you're going to pick one pick Maciano's Italian Pizzeria if I live in Quebec it's the best damn calzone I ever had in my life! I stopped by this place to pick up some pizza for the NFL Draft. The owner was very kind and after taking my order; actually sat down with me and we chatted while I waited. I’ve been in restaurants when I’m the only one in there waiting for food and staff just stays behind counter and twiddle their thumbs. This man went above and beyond to just sit and chat. Amazing customer service and hospitality.

I ordered the biggest pizza they had since it was feeding three ppl. We had food from a few places we were trying out and this place impressed us the most.

Let my start by saying I grew up near Chicago and was blessed to have some of the best pizza in the country there. I’ve lived in Denver for over ten years and have tried many places. Nothing even comes close - but this Massinos reminds me of the exact Italian pizza I grew up with. Something special about the sauce recipe, the cheese blend and the crust too. Like a trifecta that comes together to delight your taste buds. And as you can see - not too greasy, and look at the perfect bake on the bottom making a wonderful crisp crust.
