George’s Pizza and Steak — Restaurant in Columbia Township

I had an amazing first pizza from this place three months ago. I was super excited to return. My salad was piled high in a bowl topped with fresh, crispy cucumbers and tomatoes. I dumped the salad onto the serving plate to get my dressing evenly distributed. The center of the salad pile. was core. I put the core back into the bowl and made myself content with the big plate of salad still remaining. The much awaited pizza arrived. It was truly beautiful, topped with plenty of mozzarella. The problem was the crust was bland and the cook did not put / put a very sparse amount of sauce on it. The waitress’s excuse was “ it must have got soaked up.”. I worked in pizza , making pizza for 5 years. That was never an issue with pan, thin, or hand- tossed crusts, so what kind of product are they using? The waitress was kind and professional. She offered to remake the pizza; however, I don’t send food back to the kitchen. I ate the cheesy top of half and just left it. I paid and tipped my waitress who has nothing to do with the quality of the product. There were approximately 30 cars in the lot. My husband and I have been coming here C for 15 years . George and his family have watched our family grow over the years. They have always welcomed us and noticed as our daughter grew. In the same time, we have watched Georges beautiful daughter Katrina grow into a wonderful college student, and high work ethic young woman. She always remembers us and takes time on busy days to visit. Service by all members both family and non family provide excellent customer service. The food is absolutely wonderful. I honestly can say their food is made from scratch. It's absolutely excellent quality materials which enhances the flavors of their pasta and pizza. They have the best burgers in town. My 5 year daughter when given the choice to eat prefers this place over others that normal kids would choose like McDonald's and others alike. I can't tell you which is the best meal here because they are all good. The prices are reasonable and portion sizes are plentiful! Overall the place is by far the best. Me and my husband ate some food that was cross contaminated the cook didn’t wash his hands. When my husband addressed it to the owner he did nothing about instead he went to sit down and watched tv not addressing the big issue and getting people sick. This is how a foodborne illness outbreak can happen and it didn’t take long for us to get sick it took us 30 minutes or less, because the cook was touching raw food and cooked food at the same time. Wasn’t wearing gloves and the pizza wasn’t cooked all the way. I would rather wait for good food then get bad food. My husband and I won’t be back because of this. I didn’t want to go back after I caught him on multiple occasions looking at my chest while talking to my husband.
