I recently ordered takeout from Loon Sheng Chinese Restaurant in Columbia, Missouri, and the experience was nothing short of delightful! The food was not only delicious but also showcased the authenticity and care that makes Loon Sheng stand out in CoMo.
The orange chicken was a perfect balance of crispy and saucy, and the shrimp fried rice was a flavorful masterpiece. What truly set this place apart was the evident sense of family values. The warmth and friendliness of the staff made it clear that this isn't just a restaurant; it's a place where family matters.
During my visit, I noticed a wonderful display of family unity, with a daughter working alongside her parents. It added a personal touch to the dining experience, making me feel like I was welcomed into their home. The dedication and passion of the family reflected in every dish, creating a memorable and heartwarming experience.
Loon Sheng is more than just a restaurant; it's a place that values tradition, flavors, and the importance of family. If you're looking for not just a meal but a genuine and heartfelt dining experience, I highly recommend Loon Sheng...
Read moreI have been searching for full order ribs done in classic style. One place I found made them dry without sauce and gave them to me reheated (China Moon). I tried Loon Sheng today. I came for the full order of ribs — large, meaty, saucy! However, my focus was diverted to the Chow Mein. Making good Chow Mein is a lost art— lost when buffets took place of silver servers. Loon Sheng makes the most tasty Chow Mein I’ve eaten in a very long time ! It was so delicious that I could only take a few bites of rib! The shrimp egg roll was edible , but overly deep fried and dark brown. The wonton soup was delicate with fresh, firm wonton . I prefer salty chicken based due to years of second rate soup, but this was broth reminded me what quality food used to taste like. The restaurant itself is dingy. If not driven by the promise of ribs, I wouldn’t give it a chance. I am glad i did. Thank you very much for an...
Read moreOrdered the sesame chicken, paid over $11. Five minutes later, I sat down at home to eat it. The sauce was not sauce-like at all. It was congealed. I couldn’t eat it. The chicken was warm, it wasn’t a matter of the dish having cooled down. Then I moved on to my wonton soup to try to salvage my lunch. Broth was completely tasteless. I called the restaurant to lodge a complaint. I told two different people I was unhappy with my order, and tried multiple words to explain the sauce. There was no comprehension at all. I didn’t even try to talk about the soup. Even if they didn’t understand why I was unhappy, they did understand unhappy, and should have offered me a refund or credit. They did not. I’m...
